Great video! I've just finished Ring Around The Moon by Nigel Pearson. He's one of my favorite authors on traditional craft. I hope you are doing well, blessings!

Have you ever seen the books printed by Heptangle in the late 70s-late 80s? Theyre all printed letterpress. You really like books. What state do you live in? if I might ask? tx, albert

I haven't seen them, no. I'll give them a look, so thanks for the tip. I'm actually not living stateside at the moment, I've been in Korea for the past 7ish years. I'm from Tennessee though. Are there any other publishers that caught your eye?

@@svenrolic Hi. You can still find some at nice prices. They were a labor of love made by a man named Daniel Driscoll during his retirement years, letterpress on an offset machine. If you Duckduckgo: 'ajl smugmug heptangle' - you can probably find my gallery of scans of some of them and get an idea, but yeah, they really have to be handled bc its the tactile experience of plate's impressions on the paper that make them so unique, for modern books anyway. (He also used different colored inks, and put a, elaborate purple border on every page of his Arbatel of Magick!, -the title page with a red sigil looks pretty amazing, as incongruous as that might sound). He mixed and matched periods, but created a truly beautiful set of books. I also have a pretty cool [most extensive online] Austin Spare gallery up there you might enjoy, if you like his work. cheers

What kind of bookcase is that behind you? Is it something that's still being sold somewhere or is it some antique piece?

Its an antique I found locally in Korea 😅 I was very lucky to find it.

Runa! I have been looking to get the special edition. But did not manage to check out until today. Sadly it is out of stock.

Miskatonic Books has it from time to time. All they have at the moment is the devotee edition though.

@@svenrolic ah that would probably be the 1st Edition by Aeon Sophia titled Runen. The one you have is the revised edition published by Troy.

@@svenrolic just wondering how much do you dedicate per month for books? I see you have really awesome hauls for each video. =)

@@yingkaik my hobby budget is around $800 a month, but some seemed to be Amazon books that don't end up in videos.

Great video. Question what is your favorite book?
@svenrolic3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari is the first long book I'd read in one sitting in years, so that is probably up there. Many occult books are well written, but of them Aghori is probably my favorite for the time being.

@@svenrolicI have to check that one out. I've heard of it but haven't had the chance to get it. Thanks.
