That was so funny watching you try to activate the statues! Reminds me of when I first purchased my interactive wand at Universal. I knew you had to go in front of windows by a bronze plaque. So that's what I did. I was waving my wand around and nothing was happening. That's when a witch came up to me to help. I said, "I'm standing on the plaque, but nothing is happening." She said, "Sir. This kind of reminds me of the old Agent P missions that used to be in Epcot. You would get a phone and go on several different missions that would actually interact with the countries and cause secret things to be physically revealed. I hope they can add even more to this and have the land actually interact even more with the bands, like doors being opened and maybe other noises like in the control panels. Definitely a cool edition to galaxy’s edge.

I think this is just a cash grab. The interaction with the statues isn't even that interesting. It would have been better if they made it a bit like Pokemon go. You just need to be next to the statue by gps location, then you need to answer some quiz question about the character or something and if you get it right it plays the noise. I feel like that would be a better sense of accomplishment than just waving at it, but letting you use your phone doesn't sell $40 magic bands.

I did my Disney college program at Backlot express. Really not a glamorous job to do quick service at Disney but is a good memory nonetheless. Before the wookie cookie we had two amazing star wars cupcakes: a Bb8 lemon cupcake and a darth Vader chocolate peanut butter cupcake. They were sooo good! At the end of the night if I begged my leaders sometimes they would let me have one if I showed them all the “receipts” I got at the end of the night (by filling all the orders at the counter). Thanks for the memories I haven’t seen backlot in years, looks about the same!!
