To kick off the new year, we got a Famitsu article asking various developers and producers what they've got coming this year, and our two Bravely forefathers Tomoya Asano and Masashi Takahashi both had hints to give! So it looks like we're definitely getting something this year - but what?

I replayed Bravely Second (I'm not finished with it, but all that's left is Anne and the Celestial Realm) but I truly do hope Bravely Third hasn't truly been abandoned. It may not have done much new stuff, but it was a great sequel, narratively and gameplay wise and I sincerely hope we get the continuation of the Luxendarc games, if not soon then eventually Edit: I recommend checking out the Etrian Odyssey series! Super fun first person dungeon crawler rpg

I would kill for Bravely Default and Second on Switch. I just dont know how they'd tackle the "Celestial Realm." The AR movies can just be turned into regular cutscenes, but some of the magic would be lost in between. After the apparent failure of Second in Japan, i've all but given up hope that Third will ever happen, and we'll just get the traditional Final Fantasy formula of sequels from now on. Which i dont mind, i just wanted more from that first world setting.

I’m hoping for default & second remake but I definitely wouldn’t be disappointed for a third. I’d wait however long it takes for either to come to the west! I’d even dust off the old switch if it was the only platform it came on

I adore Bravely Default and I’m still holding out hope for Bravely Third, but I do understand why that might not be the best choice 😭 still, whatever it is, I have faith that they can make something good

Yes I would like to request you cover a game actually. Similar to the way it can be argued that the Bravely series is essentially even MORE of a "Final Fantasy game" than the last few actual Final Fantasy games. I've also heard that Triangle Strategy is more aligned with a traditional Fire Emblems than the last official Fire Emblem title on the Switch. Have you played it and what are your thoughts?

I know one of the projects being referenced will be the HD-2D remake of DQ1-2 coming sometime this year. My guess is if it releases this year a project for the Switch 2 launch, although I don’t feel like we are getting the switch 2 this year. If we don’t get the switch 2, it’s probably a side game or a remake, if we do get the switch 2 I expect probably a new IP or a new game in an existing series probably Bravely 3.

This year is looking peak. Super excited for dq 1+2 hd2d and whatever else is cooking. Anyway im honestly excited for ALL of those video ideas but im especially intrested in the recaps(mostly in the ones of fairys effect and brilliant lights), the defense of bravely seconds ost, bravely jeopardy, why is bravely horny and the derosa video. I know i have allready said this but i would love to see a review of 4 heros once you are done with it.

I just hope if there is a new bravely default title that they do what the first two games did and have different character designers per job classes as that really help highlight different creative choices that I enjoyed

They probably delayed its announcement when switch 2 reveal was delayed to this year, at least is what I think, between bravely default 3 and Third, I'd prefer bd3 ngl, but I'll happy with a new entry regardless

I really hope this game expands on the Luxendark story with a Bravely Third. I love these games and I really hope this is true! I wouldn't mind a new story too, but I hope it will really blow me away.
