Volumetric Trucks are common place for slipform in the UK, challange is ensuring the mix complinace is achived in order to gain sign off from the engineer.

Yessir. We have our testing done by our manufacturing partner once a week. This is a computerized mixer so it is very consistent.

The gap in the walls for insulation? It must also need drywall: Gap: conduit, electrical, plumbing, then inject foam insulation. Then drywall, so you can paint, hang pics & wall sockets, etc. Can you talk about the material sciences? Is this a concrete?
@robertmayes5894 Жыл бұрын
I would like to see talk about hurricane & tornado aftermath tests. Insurance costs should go down if the results were good.

WOW! WOW! WOW! There is no problem we are facing that does not have a positive solution equal to or better than the problem at hand. There is great joy in solutions, like this truck bringing production costs radically. . KEEP ON MIXING AND PRINTING.
@lennychorn147 Жыл бұрын
What problem is this a solution for? They're doing double the work. All they're achieving is a printed concrete form. Having to come back and fill the void with more concrete, makes this a ridiculous solution. Now if they were actually producing a superior structural wall. Then this might be a beneficial system. Or if they were back filling with sand or dirt. But from this video, this looks like a solution for an imaginary problem.

Love the T-shirt, Jarett and your continued narrative of the progress. I like the mobility of the printer. Cool you were able to film while the print continued and the openness from Tim. Very impressive! 💜

@@timothylankau4843 None necessary, but you're welcome. We haven't begun our project yet, which is HUGE, but I continue to look at various printers to decide the best ones for our applications. Funding is needed, what's new???

At least cabinetmakers will still have a job. They are building a duplex near me and explaining it on the news they only need three people to build it. They’re pretty happy about that. So long to construction jobs.

Awesome being able to see the advancement like that. Congrats on new logo and merch. its pretty sweet! Also, that new mic sounds great. maybe it wasn't windy at all, but.. still. ;-)

Thanks it’s got a wind cover too so I think we should be in good shape.

A hole in a traditional home is easy to fix. A hole in these walls means you're out of luck. They can't reprint that part. Plumbing fails over the years so they have to make holes in the walls to fix or locate the problem. If it's a pain to fix a leak in the pipes under the slab the house is sitting on then it's the same issue with these walls.

Hi, can you also make a video someday about the base leveling before starting prints.

Every printer has a different method but I’ll try to capture it clearly next time I get the opportunity thanks for the good idea!
@timothylankau3924 Жыл бұрын
We have printed with both a gantry and the Cybe. With the gantry we used laser levels and shims. With the Cybe you just press a button and it self levels.

Curing rate. Not drying rate. The Hydrogen and Oxygen from H2O are incorporated into the molecular structure of fully cured cement. The water does not dry. It is absorbed, eaten, consumed.

Hi Chip! Why were you named Chip?
@automateconstruction Жыл бұрын
I asked LinkedIn and that was the best response. Automation is really all about robotics and computers which really comes down to a tiny silicon chip. Those chips run the world now.

I'm not seeing the advantage of this system. Since you're coming back and filling the void with concrete. It seems a traditional form structure would be faster and cheaper at the end.
