Surprised Shilgengar didn't have angels to sacrifice since that gives so much better return. Really Orzhov angel-aristocrats seems like a spicier build.

That’s how I brewed it for my cEDH list. The Angels mixed with classic aristocrats plus all the best Stax pieces in the game make it unbelievably resilient, very hard to play against, and very fun to play. Love Shilgengar.

For Jim, I have a lands deck that doesn't do what his or "the lands decks" do in commander/edh. Also, thanks to Aaron for his hard work on this, brews can be fun but with something like this it's going to be super stressful and difficult.

I was thinking you can make something silly with necrobloom and cycling lands. The lands can return themselves by dredging off the draw triggers. Combine that with an astral slide or something

I believe there's a minor mistake from Jim when he swings with Six. It seems like he returns the land directly to play, but Six's trigger is supposed to put it in his hand. He didn't play any other lands for turn so he'd have just played it for turn in second main, so it doesn't affect anything but I figured I'd bring it up for engagement purposes.

I don’t know if they are Infinitokens the name brand, but i bought some dry erase tokens and it is incredibly useful to have them. Having up to 50 of whatever round i need makes accurately representing a boardstate so much easier, even if it’s not the prettiest being handwritten stuff.

Aaron had a misplay. When he tutored for spine of Isha he should have gotten Portal to phyrexia. Jim on the other hand immediately cast Elesh Norn. So he deserves the win. All opponents should concede to her majesty and the might of Phyrexia.

Because Jim fills his board with everything in his graveyard, (including all the lands and Avenger of Zendikar, so he has about 20 10/10s because they're on the battlefield but also seen entering), and can still kill Arna Kennerüd a bunch by retracing the two removal spells in his graveyard with Six's ability. He can even recast Eerie Ultimatum again with it. So Aaron basically had no way to win without a board wipe, but it would have taken a long time to resolve the Eerie Ultimatum properly. I would have loved to see it played out too, but it made sense
