Fact 1: Jordan actually said in their most recent itw that they totally were going on with MCR influences on this song. Fact 2: The reason why they didn't put out any music for a long time was because they were working on the 3 upcoming EPs at the same time, and didn't want this one to be too heavy for a better contrast with the last one (for the record: this one will be pop-punk/emo, the 3rd one will be electronic/nihilist blues vibes, and the last one heavy metal). Also they seem to work on music on tour for most part, which is crazy, I thought that most band had a hard time doing that? Fact 3: The producer of this video seemed to have been a fan of them for a long time, and I think it's pretty cool that this guy got the opportunity of a lifetime. Also, the music in the background definitely is not out yet. I think they did the same back in the days with True Friends, where you can here Follow You in the background in the cafe/bar scene. Not sure if there did it again in between these 2. Anyway, I love this one, loved strangers, not so much die4u. The MV is funny af. Can't wait to hear these 3 songs live in June!

The reason it reminds you of MCR is that the "Whyyyy am iiiii this wayyyy" totally sounds like "I'm nooooot okayyyy" by MCR rhythm/ melodywise and of course also because of the same sound at the end of the sentence. 😄 Also Oli's voice sounds quite similar to Gerard Way's voice in this song i think. 🤔 Love their new sound though! ❤ I think it's amazing! 🎉 During my late teens and my early twenties i used to be able to listen to death metal/ death core and even some black metal without batting an eye, but nowadays i must really say i'm not into bands/ singers that only scream/ growl in their songs anymore. I still like some good screams/ growls and heavy guitar/ drum action in a song, but it has to be mixed with some quality clean vocals and some more melodic/ intricate instrumental sections...and i also focus a lot on beautiful/ impactful lyrics. That's why i love Bands like Spiritbox, Jinjer, Sleep Token, Bad Omens, Epica, some of Falling in Reverse's stuff, Linkin Park of course and BMTH. I just really love it when Metal/ Metalcore or even Punk/ Emo is masterfully blended with other genres...be it Pop, Rap, RnB, Jazz, Reggae...if it's done the right way it sounds phenomenal in my opinion. 😍 Also i had a really intense and long punk/emo/gothic "phase" and still definitely am a punk/ goth sprinkled with a little emo at heart (and honestly appearance wise also 😂🖤) So yeah...BMTH's new sound really is the perfect mix of 2000's nostalgia and modern emo/ punk to me and i love it. 😊❤️🔥 Edit: Wanted to also mention that i suffer from a social anxiety disorder and depressions, so i can relate to the lyrics A LOT!!!

That's the case for most of their fans with almost every release lol. They're ahead ofthe curve. in 2-3 years there will be tons of bands releasing whole albums that sound like this song

@@JackCarroll1998 Well, shite, not sure how I should respond. I'm not an angsty teenager anymore, and I definitely won't be one in 2-3 years, so regardless of the mainstream (though I'll definitely wish them well if they get back there), this track will still have come ages too late for me.

@@helleunderlienkristensen2125 They're currently doing 4 EPs (Survival horror having been the first of those) that all have different influences. First was Nu-Metal (as clearly heard in Teardrops, for example) now there will be pop-punk/emo whatever (which you don't like) then there will be an electronic and a heavier one.

i'm also aware of them over the times since it keeps popping up every now and then somewhat related to some music i follow, but tbh the last thing i heard from them which i was like "sure, i can hear this again later" was "it never ends". anything after that isn't something i'de look for 🤷♂

I solemnly enjoy music that mixes emo, pop, some techno type shit, sreamo…but I fw this song something heavy. Just super catchy with enough rawrs
