You did have lethal in that first game. 32 damage if you pump Surge Engine and activate Bulwark (14 from walls plus 18 from 2/2s). OP saw it and conceded at 31 life.

Interesting take on this deck. Ever since the Chaplain came out I have been playing iterations of defender decks. This one ranks right up there. I hadn't visited the archetype since the latest set released. I guess I should have.

I was playing mono Red with 19 lands and I had to quit playing it cuz I flooded in 80% of the games. I would literally pull nine lands in the first 16 cards and it wasn't a very interesting. It was an all the time thing I think something's funny with the programming
