I love the Hawkeye. I own a stage 2 2011 wrx and I love it. Had it for three years and wouldn’t change it for anything else. Your friend should have done a *leak down and compression test* before buying, but nonetheless I’d still highly recommend getting it done! Top oils, (I recommend 5w40), Amsoil, Shell Rotella T6 (which I’ve had the best results from), red line, pennzoil or pennzoil ultra platinum. He should take it to a garage and get a basic inspection done as well. Make sure he checks his oil frequently at every fill up as well.

I've had mine for a 5 months, fun car no problems so far was all stock with prodrive pack from factory, upgrading to vf48 very soon but they run great and feel good, the 2.5 is great for torque, but not recommended going over 340-350 bhp with stock block, gearbox

hi, im considering one of these, idk if I go for just wrx or sti, but I heard the headgasket blows up even on stock power sometimes, is it a must to change the valves or the whole engine?

@@KuboTheEditor I got a 06 wrx 400+hp and the 6 speed in the sti would be the only really big difference between the two, costs to make big power are about the same, and headgaskets are gonna go either way, doesn’t matter sti or wrx, but like the original comment said, wrx’s 5 speed trannys and gearbox’s turn to glass after about 400whp

WRX looking good, but you may want to remove that solid crank pulley, they can cause damage in the engine. Install a original crank pulley Wich it has a dampaner.
