Playing campaign on cod hasn't been something I have had the attention span for since 2012. In fact this is also the problem with starfield. "Hey we have skyrim in space!" yeah I can't focus on a game anymore, it came 10 years too late. Now we just need to zone out and play a game while watching a podcast on another screen at the same time and then checking reddit on our phone during load screens. Can't fully focus on 1 thing in 2023. A game needs to be intuitive flowing and mindless.

Coolest thing to me was at 2:25:00 where the enemy takes your scuba mask off in the cutscene. You put your mask back on and clear it exactly how you would in real life. Which is probably one of the only compliments I can give this game is they got that part right lol. Holding the top of your mask while blowing air out of your nose will push the water out of your mask and clear it 🔥 Edit:made it easier to read and not a run on sentence lol.

man i hoped after gaz said “we’ll take it from here” and the whole RIP soap scene it was gonna be one last huge mission to bring a conclusion to it, as boring as this was to play, i really enjoyed the cutscenes, they looked and sounded beautiful, i was hoping for one last big cutscene where they kill makarov, instead they do the whole “he’s missing… oh ahhh wait here he is in this raid mission you can get for only 150gb of storage!!!”, the fact charlie was completely right though, they killed soap because they didn’t have a solid ending, cod just fails and fails year after year, but reusing assets and literally just making these spec ops missions was wild, only hope is multiplayer now, and maybe zombies

You spend the good chunk of the mission in stealth and you think you finally made it to saftey with a group of survivors when makrov busts in, throws out a line and it fades to black with gunfire. Now you effectively taken out of the game the controversial gunning down civilians but still have the impact of what makrov did be felt.

You should've played as Ghost since Soap seems to be more of Ghosts buddy from the last game than Soap and Price seemed to be. Like how Soap and Ghost took down the bad guy at the end. That way Ghost feels heartbroken more from having to watch it after Soap just saved him from being shot himself. Then Price can feel like it was his fault that he didn't let anyone kill Makarov in the past. He let Makarov go and now he understands that you can't let Villians live. So now he's Cold and that's why he walks in and blasts Shepard. He can only get to Shepard

I'm an old man at this point. Here's my take. I played the beta, the multiple is solid, not original. The added back some of the "jumping bean" movement mechanics, so 13 year Olds with good computers and strong twitch skills are going to own everyone. They added some hit points so you don't die instantly like MW2, but it's the same game. I'm most interested in the Zombies mode. DMZ in MW2 is a fucking good game. I hope they built off that. World of War craft type raids with an FPS would be incredible. Sorry Bungie.

I honestly think they could've ended the game right after the "Danger Close" mission. Closing the story with Graves 'betraying' Shepherd and with the 141 on the move again to find Makarov. OR they could've made it 6 hours longer if they really needed to but I guess that's a fat chance, thanks to the writers strike (I guess, not entirely sure if that's accurate) and I can't think of a good ending that would pull down the curtains for that one. Yeah, I'd say they could've just wrapped it up in the second-to-the-last mission. Then a post-credit scene with Makarov plotting his plans yadda-yadda, black screen.

I also think that killing Shepherd should've been saved in another campaign to just kinda relieve that moment years ago where there is an actual mission dedicated to killing Shepherd.

That entire last mission / mid-credit scene felt so bizarre and tacked on. Same goes for the last mission in MW2, but at least then it was to wrap up the primary storyline that the game had completely forgotten about in its second half. This one was purely for shock value.

@@samlund8543 Totally agree. I think it'd be cooler though if they saved the last mission for the first mission in MW4 instead. It'd be bloody nuts if the story were to start with Soap getting killed off in the beginning of MW4, raising the stakes even further from that point onwards and driving the 141 team to finish off Makarov. Just a suggestion, really. Applying that same shock value to kickstart a story. But I still think killing off Soap doesn't really change anything for the better. COD vets, for sure, are walking down that horrible memory lane and that really doesn't have to happen again LMAO. I hope they will come up with something original yet satisfying in the future narratives. With enough time, as well.

I just reinstalled Black Ops Cold War last night, and regret nothing. Absolutely insane player base still, last good COD game released, and the zombies mode is fucking fun (even if it's easy). Plus Outbreak, idc what anyone says, Outbreak is fun af lol

MW2 was 6 hours long on regular difficulty. This is 3 and a half. I feel like it should've been twice the length, even if they left it on a cliffhanger and Makarov is at large they should've added more missions and explained the story better. Maybe reinclude Alejandro somehow. This is half a game. I don't think that the story was bad but I think that they cut everything short and could've made the story deeper. I like the ending, it's good, but it shouldn't have came at 3 and a half hours in. An hour of it is cutscenes. It feels like a movie which isn't necessarily bad but a movie costs $15 on BluRay. Maybe just add some missions with Yuri or something, or as Makarov, flesh out the game if you're going to charge $70

This little Modern Warfare trilogy they did really should have all been one game. With the campaigns only being a couple hours long each, and the multiplayer literally just being a couple of updates. Acitvision has somehow managed to get away with scamming people $200 for updates.
