Same here. Had to get used to the menus and getting everything.Set up in my menu, but once you do, it's actually intuitive, just really different coming from sony!

I hear you. Before the S9 was announced I was expecting the S5II in a smaller package. The omission of the EVF and weather sealing, and the short time limits on video were disappointing. But after the firmware was updated to remove the video cap and the 18-40mm lens was released, I’ve started to turn. The criteria of ‘small’ and ‘lightweight’ are underrated.

yes, in this video I think I said I had the 10-18, but I got the 18-40 and the overall package is really nice...minus EVF

That banding in VLOG is quite strange indeed. I think it has to do with the slow sensor readout speed. It happens regularly with my FX30 but Sony will automatically scan the environment for a flicker-free shutter speed. Not sure if Lumix offers the same, but hopefully they do. No EVF is a deal breaker for me personally.

Probably user error, if there was a problem with LED flicker surely a KZbinr would have pointed it out in their review..RIGHT? Yeah, no viewfinder sucks

LOL@ "The GAS was starting to build up..." That is some odd banding. Looks like the shutter speed was changing during the static shot. I'm very interested in hearing what you think about it, especially since you have the ZV-E1 and are looking for something that does what you need without all the bells and whistles, or at least gives us quick access to the things we do change often. I guess like the Sony menus do. It can be overwhelming though with things like focus subject shift speed vs focus change speed and shockless white balance level. Seems a bit much to consider.

Those are LED shop lights in my garage, I've never noticed anything like that before in any of the videos I've shot before...wierd! You may be right about the shutter speed though, as I was shooting in A priority, still though I didn't notice it in the first clip while shooting in the Standard profile, only happened once I moved to V-log

@@hasenmyer I bet it caught flicker when it was changing between shutter speeds. I'm thinking that even though you set it to NTSC, it probably hit some unfriendly shutter speeds as it tried to adjust for exposure. That explains why it wasn't consistent. But, I could be wrong--just a guess. I haven't seen that happen on other cameras though. The Pocket 3 is bad for it, but it's not intermittent like that.

Awesome man, interested to see some upcoming videos about it. I love my S52. It's crazy of all the cameras I own. That's probably my favorite still. With the lens prices, the value is really amazing, and the stabilization is the best By far. I like the simplicity of the S9 as well.
