Happy holidays, wow i'm surprised to see a side window band-aid already. I've used ratchet strap on my stubborn 5th wheel between handle and somewhere on trailer or yank with a v belt it's a lot easier pull since i have hard time reaching with half fenders, may be ur moms turn to film next time.

I wonder if we can see with hood open to see steer wheel angle max left and right and see if any adjustment can be made to improve turning radius, had a 1979 Western Star short wheel base no sleeper had a very poor right hand turn from tire nearly touching steering box i was thinking of modifying this problem.

@@Tank-j6u we get 25% of the load, we mainly run the northeast right now because that’s where the rates are higher…however I have a dedicated run out to Washington state about once a month. They used to run all the lower 48 and Canada but not anymore. They also have tankers for hauling liquid yeast and they run locally and home every day/night. They are hiring if you’re interested! Let your company know that they can sign up to Schneider freight power for carriers and they can pull reefer loads for Schneider exclusively I know a guy doing flatbed the company has 7 trucks they only pull flatbed loads for Schneider freight power and they have a representative at Schneider that keeps them moving daily they also have a crap load of reefer freight peace

Yes this truck has a manual pull handle to release the fifth wheel and I have done it however this time I couldn’t get it so I released it from the switch on the dash. And no my dad doesn’t have his CDL (only mom did and my brother-in-law) but my dad has rode along with my mom and myself numerous times. He’s always a big help with everything 😁

So there is a trick ,after you back up against it, a big tow chain at a length, hooked on the handle, and , you stand back and whip the chain up and down and side to side with brute force ,as best as you can, get it over greased in the yard, , lol that’s how I have unlocked them before, lol BigAl California thanks

With a new fifth wheel, sometimes you need to shunt the truck backwards and forwards an inch or so with the trailer brakes on to enable the pin to be pulled as it could be that the fifth wheel pin slack has not been adjusted properly as part of the pre-delivery inspection. Been there and bought the T shirt on that one a couple of times. 🙂For safety sake only pull the 5th wheel pin after you have lowered the legs and removed the air and power lines. 👍

Bei uns in Europa sind die Trucks besser designt ?? Alles aus Plastik und kurze Frontlenker Kabinen 😂 Die Technik übernimmt das denken für den Fahrer (Automatik, Spurhalte-Assistent ,Notbremse -Assistent Tempobegrenzer usw) In Europa gibt es kaum noch echte Trucker !!! Ich habe noch 40 Tonnen mit nur 320 PS und Fuller Getriebe durch ganz Europa gefahren. Ich hätte heutzutage keine Lust mehr diesen Wahnsinn auf europäischen Autobahnen mitzumachen. Tut mir leid daß ich deine Meinung überhaupt nicht teilen kann . Sorry !

Durch die lange Nase ist automatisch auch der Radstand laenger . Langer Radstand bei einer Sattelzugmaschine bedeutet ruhiger Lauf . In Europa ist die gesamte Zuglaenge begrenzt, deshalb nur Cabover , OK rangieren ist natürlich einfacher. Die Motoren der USA trucks sind ohnehin schon europäisch Paccar Motor - DAF Niederland ,Detroit Motor -Daimler Deutschland , Mack - Volvo der einzige amerikanische Hersteller von Motoren ist noch Cummins , Caterpillar gibt es ja leider auch nicht mehr .

​​@@alkennedy1124same. Some years I go all out and cook a ham or a chunk of turkey. Tonight is Christmas night, and here is what I made. All you have to cook is the rice. Everything else is already made. I sprayed a little oil in my instant pot, added a cup of rice and 2 cups of water and a pat of butter. Closed it up and set the pressure cooker timer for 4 minutes. I let it go after it was done another 4 minutes . It looks like it really watery but that's ok. Once everything comes together it's really good. Here's the rest of the recipe: I like rotisserie chicken, so I had about half a container of that and added some mild chunky salsa I had left and added a little onion. Add these things to a skillet with a little pat of butter and a quick spray of food release(Pam). Let all this heat up while the rice is cooking. I set it to medium and it bubbled a little but that's ok. Once the rice is done, add it to a bowl the add your chicken and skillet ingredients to it. A better meal was never had. The salsa made my bald spot sweat but you'll enjoy this. Merry Christmas to ya. I call it my rice chicken salsa ka pow!! Haha . See ya.
