Nothig wrong at all with one paint-can sized cylinder. I ran Grizzlies for many years, the tourqe is down low and pull strong throughout the curve. Less moving parts and easy to maintain.

Looks well thought out with some great improvements. The fender flares weren’t thought out though Utlander lol. Only thing I’m not a fan of is that battery location.
@ehTV1000 Жыл бұрын
I know, eh. Reminds me of zoolander! Hahaha. So long as the posts are easy access, then I'm good with the battery in the rear. The more weight I can keep over the back tires, the better I figure. Really get the power down quick, and stays better planted juring water wheelies.

The only thing wrong with the 700 is its really lacking hp compaired to even the 570. The 650 has 62 hp so i was really hoping to see atleast 60hp. Im still looking at buying one but with the new 850 and 1000r coming to dealers i might wait 2 years to pick up a new one.

@ehTV1000 is the torque of the single 700 more than the 650 V twin? I thought the vtwin would have more torque, maybe the clutch engagement is better?

i see alot of people saying this is a big power gain for single cylinder atvs. the can am 500 only makes 40 hp an 01 sp500 h.o. has right around 40 hp aswell and thats 22 years ago. the 700xmr only has 50 hp you can make that on a grizzly or king quad with just an exhaust. these hp numbers are kinda lacking if you ask me. i really expected to see 60+ hp on the 700 and atleast 45hp on the 500 considering the rotax has a reputation to keep up with. i rode with my buddies 2023 500 outlander last week and i was shocked that my old sp500 H.O. managed to be a faster machine with nothing but a dalton clutch kit and exhaust mod. i consistently beat him to 85 kph so 50 ish mph, he would catch up and etch me out around 55mph. his top speed was around 105 kph but seems like its governed. my polaris tops out at 95kph screaming at 6800rpm. the outlander 500 also weights around 790lbs dry. the canams new clutch is as smooth as glass compared to anything else ive ridden tho and it creeps like a foot shift when you feather the throttle. i really cant wait to see where this new single cylinder line up goes. i should also note the ride on the new 500 seemed to be on par with my old mans highlifter 850 and seemed to be reasonably better than my sp500. high speeds were way more comfortable on the can am aswell. it just seemed like the power steering was built better.

Not knocking these, nice machines but I don't understand how canam gets away with calling a 650 displacement a 500 and a 700. And the 700 is a bit pricey. Right now I would probably go with the Suzuki king quad for a 700. I currently have a'17 Kawasaki brute force and its a beast but am contemplating going to a single cylinder.

@ehTV1000 Жыл бұрын
It's a constant slope to the deepend. If it starts to veer right, which it will when your riding parallel with it. It will be at a point of no turning back you'll swamp. Deep sentiment would poss a huge problem to stay upright at anything less than straight up. Deadly situation as the full depth has yet to be determined. Was over the Waders two feet or so past where he was.
