Only if Canon was smart enough to do that. That don't seem to really want to commit to the smaller content creators like Sony. Its as if they don't understand the landscape of video is changing with online content and social ads. If they would have just added c log 2 into the R5c it would have sold closer to the fx3. Just my opinion. I'm a canon fan but I just feel like they want to cater more to the mid/high end professionals.

The C80 is not what I hoped, it's the R3 sensor in the C70 body. If i'm gonna commit to a cinema camera I want to invest in new tech. Hope they put the R5ii sensor in a cinema body.

the C80 has the same sensor as the C400 nor the R3 as it has triple base ISO which requires different circuitry on the sensor.

Kenneth is going to release an R5C Mark two, an update to the C5 hundred using a DGO sensor higher dynamic range, a new R3 mark two, a new R6. They are not creating a smaller C 80.

Wha you’re talking about is something I’ve wanted for a long time, a box style R7c. Also I think canon has decided to do what they do best in the fight against Sony, make lenses. Unpopular opinion, canon lenses are the main reason Sony got notoriety.

I hope all Canon camera's get c-log 2 and normal HDMI as a standard. Would be nice if there will come a CB50 and CB100 (CB -> Cinema Box)! Only a cinema camera no screen and grip just a box. priced at CB50 for 2900,- and CB 3900,-. Both 4k 120, and the higher and got 6k 60fps and internal ND. c-log 2. Sort of REDish Canon. And there will be also a monitor 2000 nits with AF available without cable. And handgrip with and without follow focus finger wheel.
