NEW CAR DAY! Collecting My Dad's BMW M2 Competition

My Dad has bought himself a new BMW M2 Competition! Adding to his garage alongside the Aston Martin DB11 the new BMW has been bought from Tony TRLdeals at Berry BMW Heathrow so we head over for collection day to pick it up and go for a first drive!
The BMW M2 Competition is quickly proving to be a big hit, with a lot of car for the money coming off the back of a few changes from the earlier M2. As you may know, Marc (Shmee150 business manager) has one, and also we are joined in this video by Joe Achilles - quite literally Mr BMW - who has recently picked up his too. A big thanks has to go to Tony @trldeals for handling the sale of the car, if you're keen for a new BMW (particularly M cars) then you have to reach out to him!
Starting off at the showroom we head inside the check out the new car with Joe and Tony, before pulling the covers back to reveal the spec in Hockenheim Silver and go over the options that it has fitted. Then it's time to pull it out to go for the first few miles on the road - being gentle as it's being run in. No doubt there will be many questions about why my Dad is not on camera; well it's just preferred to have some more privacy but still be able to share the car.

It reminds me of collecting my 325i Sport in October 1986....Gletcher Weiss with dark brown leather, sun roof, tinted glass, radio upgrade and it was wonderful. I took it all over Europe and even up past the Artic Circle. Sadly it did not live long after I sold it 2 years later and was written off by the new owner within 6 months. It would have been good to meet your Dad on film though! I wish him many happy miles in it...maybe you can do some update films from time to time? Happy driving!!!😎😎😎😎😎

*Hockenheim silver is a pretty interesting color, now that I think about it.. In the video, it looks to be a light silver, with some blue in it, but also at the same time, it looks like it almost be a pearl white.. Too bad the M2 can't be ordered in BMW Individual paint. Shmee I’m not sure if you are a Porsche 911 enthusiast but I have a question. Me and my dad are looking at the 993 for a show car. We found the Turbo model but it’s too expensive for us, we did find the Carrara 4S and that is good, but I’m not sure if that is show material or considered a supercar. What do you think?

I'm not Shmee, but no, 911's (aside from the gt3's, and RS's) are not supercars, however if you clean it up (And i mean mint) then yes, it could be a show car

Everyone seems to get it wrong, but the exhaust backbox has absolutely nothing to do with the introduction of the OPF! the filter sits much closer to the engine, kind of like the catalytic converters, so that it can have really high temperature in order to clean/empty itself when needed

+1, I like both Mercedes AMG GTC and BMW M2. Best sport daily cars for single. However I prefer black color for BMW and Mercedes. Too bad the Mercedes GTC is not released with manual transmission as well. Your Dad is smart, I like his approach. SUV + sport car cover all needs. However I would like Jeep Compass for travels instead.
