Also forgot to mention that I loved the point about not going for absolute perfection when It comes to paint correction on a daily driver (especially black cars). For most average vehicle owners, that car is going to get swirled up again within the first few washes so no point in thinning down clear that’s already thin to begin with.

Looks great! 👍👍…. The family vehicle for us is a black 2015 Yukon Denali XL 4x4…..It’s a daily driver and we have been out west to Wyoming and Montana (driving from north Florida area) twice during late December early January times frame. Have over 140,000 miles on it…..I couldn’t agree more with you, with black daily driver vehicles, they are tuff to keep up. I have definitely learned that the more careful you are in the wash 🧽 and drying process the better off you are on cutting down on swirls. And by all means, never take them through automatic car washes!!! Again, great job 👏!!!! God Bless and stay safe!

I’ve been using Koch-Chemie M3.02 on those painted B-pillars for about 9-months and something else I do is after polishing, and before wipe off, I spray Carpro Clarity (not eraser). Just spraying that carpro Clarity leaves no marks after wipe off. Those pillars are easily scratched even with new towels.

Hey Phil, I cringe when I see a young fine car like this with such severe swirl marks! As an owner of a black 2017 Porsche Macan and a car detailing enthusiast black cars are a challenge to maintain. With the right techniques and regular maintenance there is no reason why the paint should ever look like this Benz. My car is like a black diamond and people are blown away by how great it still looks. Thanks to guys like yourself sharing your wealth of detailing knowledge allows us weekend warriors to produce awesome results for ourselves. As for the non detailing enthusiasts guys like you are a God send to be able to restore the paint for them. Awesome result! and I bet the client was wrapt. All the best buddy 🇦🇺

Menzerna 400 with Blue HDO pad. I am doing the same vehicule right now. I have a silver and a dark blue to do. Use a 3 inch polisher for the little space not your 5 inch. Sometimes the polisher is an issue too. Maybe the soft portion was repainted, did you measure the paint before starting?

Cool. I do believe some sections were repainted. I measured a few sections but it all seemed around 5+ mils. 🤷🏻♂️. Who knows. Sometimes one can’t tell what really happened to a vehicle.

Great job Phil! I wonder if some of the panels have been resprayed at some point? Phil, what happens if you apply a Non-Abrasive wax or sealant with a Polishing pad? Would you still be able to polish extremely light imperfections or the lack of any abrasives would not allow for it?
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes it should still work because of the mechanical action of the pad. It won’t be as good as say an AiO but it still helps to get rid of light marring from a clay mitt or bar.

Does this happen a lot, where its different paint hardness across the the vehicle? I only done a handful but never even noticed it. Now I'm wondering if I missed anything

great video. Just curious why you went straight to EXO and not CSL and then EXO? Also did you use EXO over the trim coating as well?
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Great question. So EXOv4 can be used as a stand alone 18-24 month coating. So the customer was paying for a 2 year coating, not a 3-5 year coating that CSL offers. Also we learned that it’s not necessary to top CSL with EXO right away. EXO can actually be applied 3 years down the line as a topper to extend CSL. CSL can lose its hydrophobics around the 3 year mark, but the under layer of CSL is still there protecting the paint. It just needs a hydrophobic layer like EXO to top it and continue it’s lifespan to the 5 year mark. This is what I learned directly from Gtechniq trainers. Pretty cool!
@cpdetail58863 жыл бұрын
@@MirandaDetailing wow. I did not know that. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have just always put Exo on top of CSL immediately. Nice to have options. You guys rock.

Phil can i ask? We have a huge availablity problems with lake country pads over here in Europe and in my country. I always loved LC orange force pads unfortunately i cannot find them any more and i have to replace them. I have access to SPTA pad line ( my.. friend Aliexpress!!!). There is an spta pad line VERY similar to the older rupes pad line ( blue-green- yellow-white-red). There is any case that you can help me....witch pad is the closest to LC orange from the spta line ( or older rupes line) ?? Thanks in advance
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi sorry to hear that. The Rupes yellow is pretty close to the orange LC. And the SPTA Orange is decent also.
@Mdetailing3 жыл бұрын
@@MirandaDetailing love you thanks. ( Spta has replaced many pad lines with new and slight more expensive also some da wool pad are great) maybe the lc Force orange are difefrent because they are SO much stiffer ,and closer to rupes green. Again thanks for the info. Greta video again....i also love AIO polish, we have some great on Europe some not available in US some are but more more expensive than we pay. Keep up sir thanks for the support

Good afternoon, team. Phil is there any products that will reduce brake dust. When i detail my car i notice the rotors covered in dust, which i am sure transfers to the wheels when i drive. I have black gloss wheels, so i tend to use a mild wheel shampoo.
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi. You could ceramic coat your wheels. It won’t stop the brake dust from attaching to it per say, but it will make them much easier to clean each time.
