New Caravan Table (Weight & Space Saving Idea)

Hi Folks. Today we take a look at a New Caravan Table (Weight & Space Saving Idea) If you are like Juliet & I, we do not use the supplied caravan table. It is heavy and takes up space. We have bought another table which solves both issues.

we've suffered the same fate in both caravans we've had, big heavy table that is difficult to get out, then a smaller light weight table. Great topic for the caravanner

Hi We wanted to reduce the tables we took to save weight and space. This idea is still working for us and has been a great project. We try to cover as many bases on the channel that helps us all. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Interesting. Our Jetstream Twinsport comes with a freestanding table but without any storage space so it's permanently been removed to the house. There's a decent lightweight table in Decathlon (which I keep meaning to go & buy !)

I'm amazed how heavey the tables are in caravan's this table you've introduced into your caravan is the perfect compromise even being a bit smaller hopefully will not be a problem for you. We'll done phil. Thanks for sharing. Paul

Another great video and good idea. We rarely use our table that came with the van. Never thought about it 'out of sight out of mind' as they say. I will be removing ours now and just using the lightweight one we have.

Hi Mark. You are correct the main table tends to be unused and forgotten. I think we used ours 3 times in 4 years. Mine is now in the garage soon to live in the loft. The one I bought is much more useful. Thanks Phil🙂👍

The table in Desmond was the first thing out when we brought Desmond home, it has been in the attic for the last 7 years, We have a small fold away wooden table which suits us fine.. yes the tables are ridiculously heavy and cumbersome. Nice table. Take care both

As I'm fairly new to caravanning, I've never considered table weight. We have 2 and they're fairly heavy - small rear and larger front, which we use in the awning. May consider removing one of them . Thanks 👍

Morning. Yes we tend to have things for the van and never really use them. I was going through the van in prep for our France trip with the idea of saving weight and space for my new wine cellar😂🍷. We are now down to 2 which does work much better. Thanks Phil👍🙂

We have a super quattro fb. We no longer keep the big table that stores in the wardrobe in the caravan we store is at home. We have 3 children who sit at the dinette table and then my husband and I sit at the pull out table at the front.
