New Card Reveal for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in Marvel Champions

Excellent. A friend and I were were both fans of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tv show, and we talked yesterday abiut how weird it would be if this box had Fitz, Simmons, and Ward, but not May. And there she is!

She returns to your hand after drawing up. I believe it was future proofed in case a card is made to take an action during the villain phase, hence why they didn't specify which phase.

Slingshot definitely goes into your hand AFTER drawing up to your handsize. Combined with the Command Team support, Slingshot can attack or thwart for 4 at the cost of only one energy resource.

Thanks for the pre-emptive rules consideration. I just recently saw Daring Lime talk about requested actions in multiplayer (...or two-handed solo, which is how I play most often). Since Slingshot's card text states "Action" then your partner could request she be put into play under their control, allowing them to use an ally to attack or thwart when they'd otherwise not be able to do so. Then, you get her back in hand after drawing up, which is beyond efficient compared to playing an event to attack or thwart to assist on someone else's turn. Very slick, IMO.

Nice reveals. I'm nearly positive Yo Yo bounces back to your hand after you draw based on the timing chart. After the first bounce that is great cost efficiency on thwarting and is on par for damage! I like her design a lot. Melinda's another reveal which makes me think we are getting the encounter deck manipulation hero this wave.

Thinking about synergy on Melinda May with other tools to manipulate the encounter deck (Cable's Precognition, Jessica Drew alter-ego ability, Blindfold, etc.) allows you to look at more cards to know what comes after the discard, or rearranging the top of the encounter deck to discard from the top one further down. Also, potentially discarding multiple encounter cards with Melinda and Command Team (or Melinda, Command Team, AND Agent 13). Lots of potential.

I was hoping Melinda May was a Hero rather than Ally but the inclusion is welcomed nonetheless. Now waiting on Phil Coulson who probably will also be another Ally.

And Slingshot looks incredible. 100% reads to me as she comes back to hand after drawing up to your hand size just like "To Me, My X-Men". 1 energy for 2 THW is already good and then we have interactions like ally readying with her as you said, and also all the cards like Noble Sacrifice and "You Got This!" could have potential? And even more. Feels like playing her to another player is just ready for a combo. Huge reveal. Melinda May is great as well. Love all the points you made. You can use this to manipulate Hexbolt in advance and anything like that. Kinda combos with the new side scheme from Shuri too in a way. So good! Super interesting allies. Thanks D20!

Sky-destroyer is when you play a shield. Slingshot is put into play. Also, Gambit and Wanda could use Melinda

Good catch, thanks! Edited Sky-Destroyer out of my above post now. Though I suppose, if she keeps bouncing back to your hand, you could just play her like normal if you lack any other Sky-Destroyer triggering card in hand to play.

LOL they gave you a card that can help you find and discard SOTP!!!!!!!!!!🤣 So happy to see Yo-Yo and the Cavalry. It would have been an outrage if Melinda was the only Agent of SHIELD not in the game. Also happy to see Yo-Yo, I have always thought she is the most interesting Speedster in all comics with her unique limitation. She has to return to her starting point after a certain time period has past so she can't speed too far or use her powers to escape something like an explosion. Plus robot arms.

You say that 2/2/3 for 3 cost is not an amazing stat line but I don't think there is an ally that comes from an aspect that has these stats (without drawbacks). It's common for an ally that comes from a hero deck to have these stats but for an aspect ally I think it's really good.

I think Yo-Yo works like To Me My Xmen. She goes into your hand after you draw up. Melinda might be good for Starlord. She can give him a peek at the top card.

Since Slingshot is SHIELD, you can use Government Liaison to play her for free (unless you wanted another SHIELD card and only have one Liaison, but in a deck that plans on exploiting Slingshot you probably want more than one). Two thwart or damage every turn for no more cost than that seems pretty strong!

Actually, her cost is 2 with liaison. The cost of her action is a specific resource GL which liaison doesn't cover.

At the end of the round, which hands go Yo Yo? The owner of the card or the player that have she in play? Can she pass more times between players in one round? Can a player passes she at himself? She heals full life everytime she is put in play

Both some very fun looking cards. S.H.I.E.L.D is turning into a much more fun box than I think most people thought it would be. I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, it's meant to be a bit of constructive criticism but I feel like you should make a Reddit post with a couple of your thoughts from the video in the post the next time you get to reveal! Generate a little more buzz that way, It's felt a bit strange having a random redditor making those types of posts sending us to a content creators channel instead of it coming directly from the content creator specifically. Other than that I want to say keep up the good work! I always look forward to your videos and your thoughts on the new things that are coming to the game!

I decided not to because of ... well if you saw what transpired near the bottom, you would get it. @@D20Woodworking Yeah, it is a shame that there are those type of people lingering in the community, unfortunately that is something that every community has to deal with though. I know I am subscribed already, but if I wasn't I can say for sure that I'd be more inclined to click on a link to a video if the video is posted by the content creator themselves rather than another person posting it, as I'm sure many other people are as well. And it would just be really great to have you all posting at least these types of videos showcasing the new cards to the community on the more central location of the main reddit again like the earlier days of the community, but I completely understand if that kind of negativity leads to that not happening.
