Since you asked for the lore: Dialga is a god-like entity Pokémon that is the physical embodiment of time itself. It is said in legend that time began moving when it was born and that time flows as long as it's heart beats. It has total control over time and can travel back and forth along all timeline. Palkia is like a sibling to Dialga, is also a god-like entity Pokémon and its the physical embodiment of space itself. It is said in legend that it was it's birth which caused the "walls on our world to fall" creating the infinity of the sky and space, and that space stays stable as long as it breaths. It has total control over space and it can travel across vast distances or even into different dimensions Together they are what maintain the space-time continuum

Also, Dialga is inspired by the diamond (which is linked to time due to it's durability in the Japanese culture I believe) and Palkia comes from pearl (which is link to space, I'm not sure why, just some vague ideas )

3:21 Dialga and Palkia are "Gods" in Pokémon. Dialga is a Dragon/Steel type and Palkia is a Dragon/Water type. Dialga is the God of Time and Palkia is the God of Space, they're part of a trio - Creation Trio - from the Sinnoh (Gen 4) region alongside Giratina, who rules over the Distortion World and antimatter. And yes for Dialga dee-al-ga and die-al-ga are both acceptable pronunciations. Palkia was on point. 4:21 Pachirisu is indeed a Pikachu "clone" which is basically the unofficial title for a series of electric type rodents. 5:23 Cynthia isn't really emo lol and the reason that she's got such a strong effect is because she's the Champion of Sinnoh. Her team often includes a Togekiss, and her Ace Pokémon, is the iconic and terrifying (especially when you're a kid and don't know much about type advantages and all) Garchomp.

"space brontosaurus" uh akchually, that's a TIME brontosaurus. xD So anyways the typing is because they're a trio of sorts, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, which are Water type liquid, steel type solid, and ghost type gas, on top of their shared dragon type.

Hope the new set brings some variety. I don't blame you for not taking care of this channel, the meta in Pocket does feel a bit stale and it's not like in Snap where even if a new card sucks, you can get a new video doing random stuff. There is a finite amount of times one can see a Mewtwo EX matchup

Cynthia is basically the final boss of Pokémon diamond and Pearl since she's the Pokémon Champion of that region that you have to defeat to become the champion, also known as one of the hardest bosses in Pokémon history

For context in the video games Dialga is a Steel/Dragon pokemon. We have had versions of Dialga that are Dragon type cards rather than Steel in the other card game. Palkia is the same. Water/Dragon. Leafeon is another eevee evolution. Garchomp and Togekiss are both Stage 2 pokemon. Togekiss in particular could either be a Psychic type card or a Colorless card (in the same way that Aerodactyl is either Fighting or Colorless) Garchomp specifically is Ground/Dragon and it evolves from Gible (A card that you saw in the trailer). Ground types might seem unfamiliar to you. Marowak is a Ground type in the games. So for the most part Garchomp could have been either a fighting type or a Dragon Type. The idea with Palkia and Dialga is that they are the legendary pokemon that represent Space and Time respectively. For context early on we got alot of legendary pokemon represented more general concepts before we got pokemon that are more and more specific. I can't wait for some of the cards from this set like Porygon's evolution and Piplup's evolution. I'm probably running Porygon if I can.
