I love the “family fun” envelope idea! We’re planning a trip to Disney and that would be a much better name than just naming the envelope “Disney”.

I use similar envelopes: family time (for the "family moments" from admission fees till games or a special treat), clothes (mostly for kids, they grow so fast), kids/school, dog, "treat me", Houshold/groceries, Charity For vacation time we use a "budget in a budget" for everyday I try to estimate how much money we will need and put it in a vac-budget. I added some "money for spontan-shopping. Important: only two things (it have to fit in the suitcase, and only one without more meaning then "cute", the other had to be a thing for school or dish or real clothing) Then I prepare us (for example before a disneyland visit I buy every familymember a t-shirt and ears on ebay - so we hadnt the NEED to buy there and for everyday I packed a snackbag for every member withe their favourit treats.) And when we visit the parc we used our "first take pictures and choose wise"^^ method. It was a great time and we stayed so under the budget it was awesome!

Well I'm starting my journey over so I had a lot of envelopes I was trying to do as a new beginner so I changed mines to car maintenance I'm getting married in the year so have that one I have a scratch and save and then I have a house but I changed that for my scratch and say will be my house savings and then I have my dollar bill challenge and I save my change
