NEW Celebrating Early Color Episodes - David is in Grave Danger

Barnabas Collins first appeared in episode 211. Now, with episode 295, the color episodes begin. This is a new series and features the first color episodes through back in time to 1795.
David is afraid of Barnabas but Sarah gives him a toy soldier to protect him. He goes into the basement of the Old House and can't believe what he has found!

I've been looking at the candles in the Old House. They seem melted down to almost the bottom. Doesn't anybody ever change the candles, or clean the used wax off of the candle holders?? That would drive me crazy! I like candles to be neat, and clean! Obviously Barnabas needs a new house keeper!! As for David and Sarah, they are playing with fire spying on Barnabas! ~Janet in Canada

David was a great character, they just made him too young. He should have been Carolyn's age.

@@44excalibur He remembered his lines but acted like a little queen. Sarah was too conscience that she was acting, constantly looking at the teleprompter. Amy was a very good little actress, remembered her lines and showed real emotion.

@@marilynwillett804 Again, that's why I thought that it was short sighted of Dan Curtis to make David a boy. David Collins would have been a better character if he'd been the same age as Carolyn Stoddard and had been more of a male protagonist in the Collins family, something the show was severely lacking. Victoria Winters was supposed to be the main character, but once Barnabas Collins came along, Vicky and the Collins family were dumbed down and reduced to supporting characters in their own story. It would have been nice if David were an older character to balance things out, then perhaps the writers might have been less inclined to try and redeem Barnabas and make him a heroic character and Alexandra Moltke might not have left the show.
