A woman who lived close to me, wore her luxury bags to do the school run. Burglars followed her home and watched her for several days. They found out what time she went out of the house and took that opportunity to steal $250k worth of designer bags. So be very vigilant everyone, you never know who is watching.

I don’t even go straight home after buying a luxury item and tech items. I drive around for a while. I know someone who bought a computer and went straight home. The thieves followed her and before she could close her garage door, they approached her car and took her computer. I like Charis’ videos, but I swear, with how much $$$$$ she wears, I’m surprised she doesn’t have security following her everywhere. Nowadays, I wear my jewelry and handbags to private gatherings. Not in public.

It's very common in big cities for crooks to follow people coming out of high-end stores. Doesn't matter if you're going home or not, they will rob you. Best thing is take all your bags with you even if it's just a short bathroom stop. So glad you're safe 🙏 ❤️

Just some tips from my past scares; use valet parking only, have SAs bring items to the trunk of your car and drive off immediately, don’t wear anything luxury to go shopping, don’t go without your husband if possible, and Avoid malls with multi story floors, thieves look down at shoppers and watch. About a month later my Louis Vuitton bag was recovered by the date code. Also someone will come to your residence to repair the window. But be careful with the glass I was literally vacuuming up glass for months...not matter what I did I kept finding glass.

I used to work at north park mall and sadly thieves tend to break into a lot of the high end cars hoping to find shopping bags in there. It’s more important that you are safe. ALWAYS have the store mail your purchases to you. Criminals are more daring now. FYI, this also happened to an LV Houston Galleria purchaser. Her LV item was stolen from her vehicles rear window when she went to her next store.

CA, TX, FL, NY, UK, FR anywhere don’t leave shopping bags in the car! It’s common sense. 101. Also please be more vigilant about your surroundings. You are most likely being tracked by being a luxury social media influencer. Please make sure you are taking the right precautions to keep your items/home safe. Monsieur Ashley home was burglarized and they took everything. So awful for him. I don’t want to see that again with you or anybody else in the community. Don’t be blasé about your security.

Your homeowner's insurance will also cover these items subject to your deductible (but it also can limit your ability to change carriers and also can sometimes result in higher rates- such a racket!). I live in a very affluent area with bling all over but I'm more and more reluctant to wear my pricey jewelry or bags. Geeze, what's become of our country.

Charis, i am so sorry this happened to you. This is happening all over the country. If I can just offer some advice, I would not travel with your wedding ring and your expensive Ostrich Birkin, unless you are in a secure area. I often leave my engagement rin and only take band when I travel. A lot of thieves watch your videos and you constantly show items that you've purchased, so you become a target. You must be aware and never leave things of value in your car, even if you're gone for just 2 or 5 mins. I am from SF, CA and this has always been an issue in our city. Thank God i moved to TN. But im still vigilant. I understand you want to share your expensive purchases with your audience, but you must be aware that you make yourself a target when you disclose what you buy and how much things cost.Yes, we live in a very unsafe world and you should be aware. Even if you're in a high end area shopping, never stop anywhere after you leave. Not for dinner or anywhere. Pay attention to your surroundings and immediately go home or if out of town, directly to the hotel. And I would never take designer shopping bags through a hotel lobby. I would put those bags in a discreet shopping bag so no one knows what you spent. Thieves are very clever. Also I think it's a horrible idea to take pictures of your luxury purchases outside of the store. That just screams, "steal my stuff!" Hermes provides discreet shopping bags. I would always put Chanel items I've purchased in discreet bags. At my local Chanel boutique, when I purchase items, I have my SA hold on to them, as i do other shopping in the mall, and I collect them as soon as I leave the store. I'm always watching very carefully to see if anyone's following me to the garage. I never take pictures or behave flashy with my expensive items just for the sake of social media, with my designer items i've purchased. You're a public figure and people target you based off what you share with your subscribers.I would immediately stop doing so. Doesn't mean you can't continue your luxury purchasing. Judt be more attentive to your behavior. I'm not blaming you i'm just trying to provide good advice. Please stay safe. Blessings!

I am so sorry about what happened . I went to Hermes store this Saturday, my SA put all of my stuff in a white paper bag, he said there were a lot theft lately, I thought he over reacted . It is terrible !

That really suks. I’m glad neither of you were hurt and your kids weren’t with you. I’m from SF and have been taught to never leave anything in our cars. I even put the seats down so thieves can see there’s nothing to steal. Good reminder for all of us to stay vigilant❤

Hi Charis, so sorry that this had happened to you. I am gland that you and your husband is safe and your kiddos weren’t with you at that time. We really need to stay alert and protect ourselves!!! I want to share with you that similar event had happened to my husband and I. We were robbed from our hotel room at the Ritz Carlton. Luckily we were safe from the incident. However, we lost a few items but thanks to Amex platinum card we were able to recover the cost of most items. You will be in good hands with Amex!!! Hopefully everyone stay safe and be alert on your vacation!!!!
