I'm genuinely waiting for air sim to get some work. Having a sim function to be able to fly helicopters in would be relatively nice, since all there is currently is ground sim, which would have to be in the constraints of the Br change per however many days, or to fly Helicopter EC, which is arcade and severely unrealistic. Just my two cents.

2v2 or 4v4 on a very large map would be cool. Players would have to implement cranks, notches, going cold and stuff like that and pushing to the merge would result in prolonged dogfights. Another idea could be adding radar installations instead of bases. Interceptors are vectored towards targets using radio and later datalink (this would finally distinguish the mig-21's from each other), these radars can be destroyed of course, adding interdictor and SEAD gameplay. It might not be realistic to implement, but it is a fun idea.

pretty sure the flight mechanics of sim and Realistic are the same besides one allowing mouse aim. You can get the same experience (besides having markers) buy just using a flight stick and first person in realistic. The only time the models are different to my knowledge is Arcade. The whole point of Realistic is to have the same physics and performance as Simulator but with the controllability of Arcade. The only thing i think needs changing is in GRB the gunner sight needs to be forced from the actual gunner sight, and ARB needs to have no enemy markers or multiple respawns and larger maps.

@@fire_drake12.arc.24 actually the flightmechanics are slightly simplified in RB compared to SIM. The instructor in RB prevents you from actually pushing your airframe over the edge and forcing a stall for example (if you use mouse-aim). This wasn't always the case but was introduced when RB became more popular and a lot of people transitioning from AB stalled (and crashed) because of that. But yeah, you're right that you can get around the instructor by using Smi-controls

People’s opinion on who’s handheld and who suffers literally changes patch to patch. As it is Sweden right now has the best MBT’s and some of the best light tanks. It also has the best Fighter in the game. I remember when people would say Sweden suffers all the damn time even after getting the 2A6 in the sub-tree. Then it seems the players shut the hell up when the new STRV-122B came out and they added spall liners. Then there’s the gripen as well. Russia still has the best light tanks (debatably), CAS and SPAA. Only thing stopping Sweden from ruining the matchmaking is the fact it’s a minor nation with a significantly smaller playerbase

Totally agree with tickets rework had a match on the weekend with games in bed on the other team in an F-84G made one run along our ground targets strafing all the howitzers coz they are all lined in a straight line for you in the middle of the map before any of us could get there and took about 35 to 40 percent of our tickets in that one run

It has to be removed from air RB, not reworked That’s stupid that an AIR-TO-AIR battle can end with 50+% of players being alive because of one guy in the A-10 or something who pressed one button 10 times to kill bots on the ground that don’t even move and did literally nothing for the team Or even more ridiculous situation - the lobbie is full of fighters and the match ends because of some AI killed another AI lmao So here’re 2 options - reduce reward for ground targets by let’s say 10 times so those bots in A-10’s, F-4S’s etc will have to play as fighters(Kfir, F-4S) or don’t play ARB in certain vehicles (Su-25, A-10) Or remove tickets from ARB and add limiter for amount of planes with air-to-ground stuff as they did with bombers So let’s say 4 planes with bombs/AGM’s/rockets per team that will also fix 11.0-12.0 bracket cause rn every single match is 80% filled with bots in F-4S’s who go straight to the nearest base, drop bombs and then crash or go to the field to repeat this cycle

I'm hoping the automatic healing works like repairs. no need to trigger it but after a bit the crew bandage themselves. brings the health back up to yellow or something, they're still beat up but not full blow tomato anymore. no infinite health crews if you only hurt em a little bit every few minutes

Currently you can't have the bol-pods and rb71's on the same pylons and I think they are going to keep it that way with fox-3's as well. Airfield AA is insane in RB. Had a handful of matches where people went into hiding once it was down to just them, while also having the tickets advantage.

I'm really hoping the separate BRs for air-ground and air-air means the air BRs will get their cap increased by a lot eventually. Air match making is much more compressed than ground. Also of course agreed on the A-10. Honestly certain missiles should just have a minimum BR rating. Maybe make it so if you have them equipped, your BR goes up.

Very good the direction they are heading. I hope lobbies get smaller. I think Gaijin needs to rethink arcade battles in top tier. Instead of having normal air arcade battles which I assume nobody plays at top tier, give us a game mode with super small lobbies of 8v8 or even 6v6 with realistic game engine, using arcade maps with limited number of air spawn (for example 3 spawns) but without shooting markers like in normal air arcade. Most planes at higher ranks have radar guns and ballistic computers, more over most killing happens with missiles anyways, which makes the idea of arcade with easier flight models and aiming assistance, especially in ranks VII and VIII, quite redundant. I don't mind it, if air arcade at higher tiers gets changed to realistic game engine with no shooting markers, but maybe smaller lobbies and limited number of respawns.

They are creating a game mode for airRB that includes SEAD and larger engagement maps with multiple spawns. This is why they are not modifying the current player counts, and what they are referring to here.

I think they should make a specific BVR mode for fox 3s, and encourage their usage by adding 2000s IRCCM missiles, so that BVR is the most effective way to engage enemy forces. Missiles like the R-73M/74, AAM-5B (very important that it’s the B Model, as the A Could be added rn as it’s IRCCM isn’t very advanced) AIM-9X, IRIS-T, A DARTER, and ASRAAM.

Players are coping hard with saying the 2s38 is unkillable lol. It’s made of paper and the fuel tank explodes if you sneeze at it. Plus it’s 30% ammo rack by mass so as long as you don’t shoot the rear half of the tank, it’s almost always a one shot. The new internal components won’t change anything looking at the layout. It’s literally still the same, shoot under the turret from the side or the front crew compartment to kill, if you shoot its ass you’ll still die and cry on reddit just like before.

I mean im excited simply for them to hopefully fix the br compression on the daily air assault. You have 6.7br planes like the f80 competing for kills against the f16c i get the points are prorated to give you higher points/kill the weaker br you are. But legit my last match it had 6 12+ br planes in it. Each able to launch up to 6 or more all aspect bvr missiles so thats 36 kills they get per merge assuming all of them hit. Doesnt leave much room for gun kills i was in a f5e during this last match and simply couldnt compete. Bvr planes should be seperated from the game mode. Or they just get rid of aam in that game mode so everyone needs gun kills. Maybe break it up by plane speed as well. Thats the only match i regularly play as u can get on. Play the plane youve been struggling to unlock mods on. And get 5-10k mod points per match

I think you misunderstood. The arrows are pointing to a box saying "daily bonus for researching vehicles of other nations", which implies we could use top tier aircraft to research other nation's aircrafts. And the reason they're delaying this probably is that it implies a bonus similar to premium vehicles, and we can't just give that away for free can we?

9.7 is currently agony due to certain missiles, I’m a Mig21s user which obviously gets all aspect r3r however this missile can be defeated with the smallest of turns or any chaff. Then you have missiles at the same br such as aim9g, aim9d and of course the ungodly aim9L. These are near enough undefeatable without flares, both the aim9g/d are competitive as they are rear aspect. But the A10 sums up everything wrong with warthunder, you give absolute bots who just ground pound a missile which is capable of carrying their team. Most games you’ll have A10s highest on the American leaderboard…. For air kills… Only way I can see the fix is giving other planes flares, which I don’t even agree with. Moving the A10 up where it would just get crushed, or changing which missile it gets. Overall the plane was just a terrible mistake to add to the game, in reality a support plane would be supported by other aircraft. Not an overpowered missile 😂
