I really liked Gosain's breakdown, as someone who was interested in picking up Victor from the trailer I loved how he not only broke down the key moves and weaknesses but also went in depth on his play style and gameplan which is something that is hard to pick up on by just watching matches a lot of the times. If he started making more guides like that on youtube they would really pop off.

Reina's ws2 gives her +14f, so technically she can do guaranteed electric but it'll be difficult... Damn that's gonna be nice to practice and land in matches

They can't. TMM had the same idea but oponent recovers in crouch. They might change it though

when you reset "total damage" should go back to 0, otherwise it will be very hard to lab oki setups and other things

Do you mean combo damage? It resets to zero, that's why it disapears after the combo. Total damage is total damage, total damage in a combo disapears, you can only see for fews seconds, then you can see max damage (in a combo) and damage of the last attack.

@@MGK734 no, not combo damage, I mean total damage adds up even if you reset. I know combo damage goes back to 0 even if you don't reset. Total damage not resetting is not good for training oki situations and OTGs

Damn, Gosain is so phenomenal at explaining things. Dude is an excellent teacher. I consider myself a casual at fighting games and I was able to comprehend most of what he was saying and I love that he gave a character overview of Victor (committal and high risk/reward).

I think her hellsweep is actually really good. It does 28 damage with no recoverable health and you can go into her Heaven's Wrath stance which can give you more pressure. She also has a heat smash in Heaven's Wrath that's a low and does 40 damage. Sure, both hellsweep and heat smash are gonna be punishable if blocked, but her mids are so good that your opponent is gonna be conditioned to block standing which lets you use the lows when they don't expect it.

I honestly think all the TEKKEN 8 events so far have been really good. This event was bad especially because you replayed the Gameplay Trailers that we've all pretty much seen a thousand times. It felt like this event was just created for people that haven't seen anything of the game yet but given how hyped every TEKKEN fan is, that is really unlikely. But thanks for showing us that you can practice with a friend that feature will make it easy for me to teach my friends how to play.

My dude, the trailers are like two minutes long at most, even if you did watch them, some of them were out months ago, just a reminder and a way to start the conversation from a more even ground in case someone new happens to find the video. Exposure for the game has grown in the last week or so, plenty of people haven't seen the trailers or didn't pay much attention to them back then.

There was nothing "new" or exciting for people that have been following since the trailers dropped. Except for the 2P Practice mode.

I promise you that even after this event on launch day there will be someone who boots up and goes "who is this purple girl" or people will join a stream and type "there is a new tekken?". There are literally billions of people in the world. and many of them who would be interested in buying tekken dont watch videos about it and likely will have only heard about if from the recent tv spot commercial. For you it was the 1 thousandth time, but for literally thousands of people in the chat at the time it was their first time seeing the game. This was the best showcase for this game to date. and is likely to have sold more people on the game than anything prior.

Because they wanted the roster to be interesting, unlike SF6 where even the DLC characters are boring (except Akuma maybe, but you see him everywhere just like Terry). No one cares about Lucky Chloe tier characters.

I really hope Azucena's mobility and dodges that they show are very precise and not some weird auto parry/dodge stuff. That seems so annoying lol edit: it seems thats exactly what it is, with built in automatic punishes..... dodges highs and lows..... punishes lows when out of heat and punishes both in heat.... what kind of handicap stance is this... it's like leroys but it parry/dodges and punishes way more. get good i guess, for people who have to learn to play against her. And for others, just play her. maybe im missing something, of course it prolly wont be very effective at high ranks, but low to mid, yea, wild

Actually, Tekken 7 started with 20 characters in its initial launch (in arcades) and didn't include many iconic characters like... Jin, Yoshimitsu, and even Nina. Nina didn't even get added until the major title update, Fated Retribution. It's actually kind of nutty to me to imagine playing a Tekken game that didn't have Nina and Yoshi, but it happened. Of course, I know you're being fairly disingenuous here and just spamming comments to stir negativity because you're a salty Gigas main or something, but I thought others looking through might enjoy the trivia.
