So I think the next problem is the supercharger cable overheats. Lots of people are putting damp rags on the handle keep it cooler. We really need V4 800v chargers. Because these V3 400v cables where just not built to maintain 600+ amps at the 250kw for very long. I'll bet if you moved stalls it'd go back up to 250kw because you'd have a cooler handle. V4 800v chargers, even at 250kw that's "only" ~325amps which is going to produce wayyyy less heat in the cable and handle. I wonder what is taking them so long to finalize and start deploying V4 cabinets. Even the new sites with V4 dispensers still have V3.5 cabinets. Would be really interesting to see how the truck does on an EA station. Just need a CCS adapter that fits.

Yeah I was curious to test the same thing if you didn’t need two adapters to charge at EA with the truck. I did noticed the charger cable seem hotter after this charge. I was seeing the wet rag method too and yet to try it and see if it makes much difference with the new update. Sounds like a cool thing to see if it helps even more with the new update. Fingers crossed we get v4 soon too.

i heard you could get even higher charging speeds at third party stations like electrify america. maybe there is a difference with those

Yep you can get even faster speeds than v3 at EA stations. Just need two adapters to do it.

Which two adapters ?@@jco281

Seems to be the same. You said it dropped at 30 before, and it dropped at 30 percent after the update also.

Yeah it’s pretty much the same for the 10-30%. I did notice the increase in speed after 30% which should help to 50% faster. I was testing trip planner and noticed most charging stops were 10-15 mins shorter than before so I’m guessing the big change is between 30-50%.
