Absolutely!! I swoon over the beautifully decorated trees you see on social media, but I would be so sad to not share that experience with my kids. It’s something I always remember doing as a family growing up and I want our boys to have those memories too🎄

In the end, they’re really just as beautiful… just in a different way. But I love our tree with all the ornaments heavy on the bottom with clusters of 5 on a single branch. One day we will have a perfectly decorated tree and I’ll miss the ones we have now 💗

He bought me a Michelangelo pieta’ ! I cried! I had wanted one for a long time. I fell in love with one in our priests office. It is my most treasured belonging ❤️

I have a Christmas village, too. Mine are old and all light up. My grandmother gave me one each Christmas. Now that’s she is gone, they are more precious to us and I’m displaying the yearly for my grandkids. Traditions and memories.

We really don't have a specific thing we decorate. It's just when I have time but i try to do it the first week of December. My favorite pieces are very sentimental to me. I used to help put up my grandma's snow village every year and when she passed away, i got it! I can't always put it up every year because we move so much and some homes it's hard to put up but when i do, it brings me so much joy!

Living in Australia we are in the middle of summer at Christmas time so the way we celebrate and decorate is vastly different to countries in the northern hemisphere. We have BBQ'S, go to the beach, spend the day by the pool, at creeks or rivers and try to find the best ways to stay cool. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have a white Christmas! I do love your palette for your Christmas decor, very high-end looking 🥰

I grew up in South Africa, so we had the same hot Christmases. I moved to the UK at age 25 (which was almost 17 years ago now) and I honestly couldn’t imagine having a summer Christmas again. It’s completely magical, with the nights drawing in (it’s dark by 4pm), cold, crisp and frosty mornings, and the prospect of a white Christmas. It’s my favourite time of the year.

I’ve always wanted that same Willow Tree Nativity Scene too!! This year I settled for an all white one from Target for $25. Its actually better than i imagined, especially for the value! It’s not the dream one, but until I can afford that one, it’ll do. I love the story of you receiving yours. Truly special! I also have a few Christmas decor that my mom gave me that reminds me of when I was little and has been around for 40yrs! I also hope to pass it down. ❤️💚🎄

I'm so glad you involve the kids in the Christmas decorating, especially the tree! I've watched some utubers decorating their trees with no kids around. And yes, they are Pinterest worthy but what is the point if the kids aren't involved? I've always thought Christmas is for kids - just to watch the excitement in their eyes and hear their excited laughter. That's what it's all about to me. I’m so glad that you are on the mend after your accident. In our household, we wait until after thanksgiving before putting out any of our holiday decor. My husband’s birthday is near the end of November, so we hold off until after his birthday. We have a relative with an allergy to pine, so we have gone the faux tree route for years. I do enjoy that I don’t have to wrestle with the lights each year, since our tree is pre-strung with lights. I love how all your decor turned out. So cozy!! I can’t wait to see the whimsical decorations for upstairs. I wish I had room for a hot chocolate bar. My favorite thing about your hot chocolate bar is the kids’ reactions to it. I have been following you for years, and I cannot believe how big they are getting! Luke is going to be taller than you before you know it!! (A special Christmas decoration for me) My grandmother had some beautiful outside reindeer that light up and at the time I really couldn't afford to go buy any but my girls loved seeing them when we would go to her house to visit. She actually wanted to give them to me so we could enjoy them at our home, she passed away December 15th of the next year (this year makes 10 years since she passed) and now every time I put them out my heart overflows with joy and memories of my precious grandmother❤️

First off glad that you are ok. Loving the decor this year black is my fav color so definitely loving the tones that you are using. The diy was a great idea..I had some deer I've been trying to get to diy because the the ones I like at Crate and barrel/pottery barn can be little bit more then I want to spend right now. I wait to decorate until after Thanksgiving because I also love decorating with the fall colors. We leave our Christmas decor up until around the week after New Year's, then switch to more of a wintery decor. My Christmas decor includes lots of "wintery" items that can be left up until spring with a little rearranging. Really enjoy your channel!!

Hi Amanda, Love watching all your cleaning and decorating videos. You're very warm, caring and family oriented. I have a cleaning tip I'd like to share with you. If you would use Bar Keepers Friend on your pots/pan it would remove all the discoloration of cooked foods and stains. They would look shiny and new always. Just make a paste with water, use a sponge to scrub it in, rinse and wash as usual. It's like magic! Has many uses.

I decorate early, generally a week or two before Thanksgiving for the same reason you mention. If I wait until December I feel like I go through all of the work to decorate and then take it down a few weeks later. I take my decorations down before the New Year. Great job as always. Watched the upstairs first and love the alcove and game room.
