Could you explain why its a chronograph and not just a stopwatch? I have the grb300 and the only single difference is the day of the week subdial. Does it even change days while the stopwatch is running in stopwatch mode? That would explain it a little bit? lol

Great overview - and here is the Casio collectors dilemma... I have the GA2100, the GAB2100, the GSTB100, the MTGB3000. I have a GAB2100 on steel (after market), and this new watch is amazing, but is it any different than the GSTB100 and the MTGB3000? No. But I still want it!

Great vid again, m8 💪 To me, the dial of the CasiOak is a bit boring, and since I’m also a big fan of chronographs, this is imo a huge improvement 😀 Don’t know, however, if I’d not rather spend my money on another model 🤔

Really nice, well done review! At this price, no MB6 makes me avoid this model 😞 Also, personally, at this price, I would prefer an Oceanus or a MTG where both of them have ( by selecting the right models) MB6 + BT.

Nice watch, maybe next year. I recently bought the mudmaster GWG-B1000-3AER for 500 euros. And functionality is better than this one. My full metal g-shock GMW-B5000D-1ER square was around 450 euros. So 800 usd is a little overpriced.

Also to add I’m not sure about full analogue G shocks, a G to me must have some sort of digital sub like my GST-B600 which I adore, the negative sub annoys me because it’s negative but it’s still there and I do use it often with the light, a fully analogue G isn’t a G to me especially with a crown which I’m really not sure about- it’s just a quartz analogue watch, missing a sub that G-shocks are all about.

Hmm. I think the MTG-B3000 represents better value at that price - although £200 more RRP, you can usually get one in the sales (I got my gold/silver one for £717). I think the MTG offers a lot more in terms of fit/finish, features, the superb rubber backed bracelet. But this is a very different look, so glad it exists.

What about gab2100-1a g-shock whatch? Is it a good watch and worth buying it, and is it a good for travel use internationally?

It’s a fantastic watch. It has bluetooth so it’s easy to set. Alarms can easily be configured. Time can easily be adjusted by choosing based on your location. Sufficient backlight. Tough solar. Comfortable strap. All to go with the usual shock resistance and 20BAR WR. Perfect for travel in my opinion (and objectively speaking, really)

At that price a microbrand mechanical would be a better option. £400 would be my max for this.

So.. it's bigger, doesn't have a screwdown back cover (rather a cheap looking one that looks just like the one on my 30€ ae1200), probably has the same non-existent anti scratch coating, no saphire and is 200€ more than the og? This isn't worth more than 400.

It's nice, but not $800 nice. Prices for these metal casioaks are absurd. The chrono should be $400-500 tops and the non-chrono should be $300-400. For now, I'm happy with my half-metal variant.
