Is this not a problem. When I create a project, for example, 'Web Design Extension Tool'. Then, I started chatting and created 2 separate conversation threads. Even tho these threads are under the same project, these chat conversations have no knowledge of each other's existence..

Sounds great in theory, but when I actually tried to use Projects and tried to upload one book that was less than 2mb in size, it told me I had exceeded the project space. Ironically, when I asked Claude why there would be so little space allocated for the upload, it responded, "There may be some reason for this limitation, although 2mb is indeed a very small amount of space for even one book". The constant throttling of how many interactions a user can have with Claude and now this ridiculous limitation on files you can upload as part of a project make this a hobby platform more than a work tool.

Great video. I've already started using it as a project to help me write reviews setting up a main review prompt and then a checklist and then the custom instructions which then guide it to use and how to interact with all the knowledge base information. Hope to join the community soon. Lose my job and my Dad recently. But as someone who has a love and a passion for AI I can see the value in communities like this. I'm a local foodie influencer in my city and been trying to use AI to help me construct and finish my website as well as handle many of my posts. But sometimes I struggle with ideas and how to utilize AI in different ways. Appreciate all your great videos! Btw, I noticed you can tag or use your projects outside of them in the normal chats? Do you have a video on best way to utilize those?

Great video! Thank you! Can you explain more about the "context window?" If I want to upload multiple textbooks to the "Project Knowledge," will that "break" the context window and thus make the assistant useless or not as useful as one with a smaller "Project Knowledge" base? I will be uploading PDF books. Is there a max page limit for the total amount of books that is recommended? Is 1 500 page book the limit for a context window?

Would you say making instructions with XML tags is better for Claude? As in Claude would produce better results if one were to use XML tags instead of just natural language? Also, this was a fantastic video explaining how projects can be utilized, thank you!
@j-man4231
@j-man4231 3 ай бұрын
According to ChatGPT: “In Claude project instructions themselves, it's typically better to use natural language rather than XML tags. Claude is optimized to interpret natural language instructions more effectively, especially when you're giving it complex or nuanced tasks like improving essays. However, if you're dealing with specific formatting requests or more structured tasks (like programmatic responses), then XML-style tags might help, but they're generally not necessary for standard use cases like essay feedback. Here’s why natural language is usually better in Claude's project instructions: Ease of Understanding: Claude is designed to understand and respond to natural language prompts, so instructions in plain language will often yield clearer and more accurate responses. Flexibility: When you use natural language, you allow for more flexible interpretations, which is useful for tasks involving creativity, like refining essays. Streamlined Interaction: Using natural language helps streamline your interaction with Claude. You don’t have to worry about formatting errors or misunderstandings that could arise from using tags improperly. If you're aiming for Claude to handle structured or complex data (e.g., parsing large amounts of text with specific instructions), then XML tags or structured formats can be useful. But for tasks like enhancing your essays, natural language instructions should suffice.”

Can you add a WEBSITE to the Project Knowledge area? Also do you have a lifetime or all inclusive membership for 1 price?
@ai-foundations
@ai-foundations 6 ай бұрын
Hey there, you can add website contents to the knowledge. Claude can't read URL's but you could essentially scrape all the website content using a python tool in your local terminal and then uploading that knowledge via PDF. A little bit of work but worth it, depending on your use case. By the way, we currently don't have a lifetime option. Thinking about adding one soon though.

When you ask questions like in the video, “Am I staying on track according to my goals PDF", have you noticed whether Claude tends to align with your viewpoint? In ChatGPT with 4o, I find it wanting to agree with my opinion or say yes if it thinks that would be my preferred answer. I can argue one side of a topic, and ChatGPT seems to agree. If I then argue the opposite side, it also tends to agree. So, I find ChatGPT to not be objective but instead would rather give an answer that would please me. I’m curious if you’ve seen similar behavior with Claude or ChatGPT? Could you consider this and share your thoughts in a future video? Maybe it's because of the custom instructions I use because I tell it to adopt certain viewpoints? But I don't think that would make it tend to agree or try to please me though?

Claude can reference and retrieve information across all the chats you have had within the project. The knowledge base works better than with custom GPTs IMO. You can share the project with all chats with your team. GPTs are valuable if you have certain workflows that you want to "automate" and you do not want to start from scratch every time. I personally use it to analyze job postings and then write corresponding cover letters.
