Yep! They are $$$ so I wanted to make sure I loved the formula before getting any more. I will say that they do perform nicely. The shadows lasted all day long. BUT the other formula was never an issue for me - so if you have any of those that you love- you can probably wait to purchase these. xoxo

Hi dear Abby, thanks so much for all the explanation, also about the primer shade, and you look super beautiful, you always do, and these shades look really beautiful on you, wow!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩I ordered 2 of these quads in Japan, as i don't want to wait maybe half a year until it's in Europe, the 10 and the 12, they arrived today, will wear them soon! They swatched like a dream! I prefer ordering makeup more close by the door, but decluttered so many shadows from PMG/ND/SG that i could not wear anymore, eyes to sensitive, that i really want to invest now in, mostly Japanese shadows/makeup! But loved this demonstration Abby! I must say, the little applicators that come with the quads, they always get lost, here than, i'm chaotic, but what a good demonstration, i shall use these as well!!! And i think you used a Sonia G. Fusion eye brush, have a few. I say so many times no, no, no, even as eyeshadow addict still, but this is yes, yes, yes, when swatching! Hi, Great review of this. The color story you selected is very pretty, however I wasn’t wow’d by the way it applied. I wouldn’t believe this was a high end palette. Disappointed. Thank you for always keeping us ladies in the loop! 😘

I am worried that I should have just gone straight to my brushes because using the ones in the palette were not ideal. LOL! I had just watched a CDP video on which shade was the PRIMER and it made me want to try the applicators... but yes- this is an expensive quad and you want to LOVE it to BUY it! I get it! I purchased #1 Sand Dune. It’s pretty neutral. I am very pleased with it. I really like the formula and love the primer. I thought about getting #10 Sea Grass but I have the Tom Ford Velours Kaki. So I think I’ll pass. Plus they are quite expensive and there’s always new things coming out!😊

I picked up two refills: Sundried Driftwood and Ocean Sunrise. They just arrived today and look gorgeous in the pan. Haven’t swatched or used yet, but I think I’ll really like them. Will pick up a compact for them down the road. For now, they’re fine in their little trays and boxes.

LOL! You are so sweet! As far as Chanel shadows - these would be in the same vein. Some Chanel's are more pigmented than others... such as the Les Beiges Palettes are more of a wash than super pigmented. BUT I would say on par with the Chanel Quads. One of the two would be perfect for you as it is more neutral and has a pinky brown shade in it! Forgot the name but it’s soft and gorgeous for every day! The 2nd palette is definitely more autumnal with vivid orange and deep browns….maybe a pass for you? Xoxo 😘 Deb

The old versions were mostly satins/shimmers- so no matte color. Then now how a primer shade- a satin, matte and a shimmer in the one that I purchased. I hope that helps. xoxo
