I actually got this tint through influenster and while I didn't like how sheer it is. Because I have so much redness and acne marks I have to agree that I was surprised I wasn't an oily mess by the end of the day. I totally got the one size powder because of you btw ❤ thanks for always keeping it super real with us.

Thanks for reviewing this!! I haven't decided if I like Watertone as much as the Water Blend foundation it replaced, but Water Blend was my faaaavorite for a genuinely undetectable base. It evens out but lets my freckles shine through and lasts so well (oily/combo skin in humid af climate). I have found the formula doesn't work with all primers but is good over just spf/moisturizer. My favorite way to apply it is with my hands - I get the most coverage that way Also worth noting - Watertone definitely has a much stronger and different smell than Water Blend

I was so excited to see you reviewing this foundation! The Make Up For Ever Waterblend foundation is one of my top favourites of all time and I was not pleased to hear they were discontinuing it and replacing it with this product. But, seeing your review, I think this Watertone foundation will still be a hit for me, they look like they are very similar in terms of finish and performance. I always get better results with it when I apply it with no primer - it's got some film forming properties which prevent transfer and all that, but it seems to grip better and last longer on my bare skin. There was a time in my life where you couldn't pry Estee Lauder Double Wear and any other extreme coverage matte long wear foundation out of my hands, but in my old age now, I most definitely prefer these light coverage tints. Unfortunately, most of them are not oily skin friendly, so I'm glad this holds up! Really looking forward to it hitting stores in Canada so I can snap it up! Another "Maryam Made Me Buy It" purchase, and I'm not mad about it! Happy Wednesday, babe! ☺️

@@sarahktimmins I did! And I love it! The older version was more watery, the newer one is still ultra thin and liquidy but it almost emulsifies to a thin gel texture for a second that then dries down. It looks really natural, a total second skin! It lasted really well on my oilier skin and held up under a mask too!

Love youuuuuu! I’m hit and miss with the size of my foundation brushes. Sometimes I like the bigger ones, but when my skin is bad, I grab a small one to go hard on some of my spots I need to really cover!

Essence also has a clean formula. They have a range called Hello Good stuff that are min 90% natural ingredients. They have primer, mascara, foundation, etc.

@@savannahblackhawk-mccormic2140 I really love it. The primer is like a hydrating cream, the foundation has light coverage but I think it’s perfect for everyday and the mascara is like the kush mascara from milk. They have a face mist too but that just has a nice watermelon scent 😊

Since this is a water based foundation, I bet that there was some dimethicone in the setting spray. It wasn't the sponge, it was the setting spray. Do you have the MUF powder foundation? I bet that would look amazing over this foundation. 😍

no no, that wasn't a setting spray, it was a hydrating water-based mist, so no dimethicone. I actually think it was the combination of too much shine control primer plus the sponge

Typically, water based foundations and silicone based primers, do not mix well. Even though primers are necessary for oily skintypes, I have to wonder if it would have applied better without the silicone based primers.

Only half way through (will watch to the end obviously!) and have to say, i really dont see the point in no coverage foundations! Why would i want to spend £30-40 on something that doesn’t cover anything. I may as well use concealer to cover imperfections or nothing at all. I just dont see the point in puting something on that covers nothing!
