When I was in the hotel business, we blended colors. Bright white with dark wood, and everything accented each other so well! You want contrast, but you also want things to somewhat match. The white would probably pop So well in there, just because your whites are more in the accent things that aren't technically "decoration". I'm still torn, but I think I just really want the dark one myself 😂 but that white one... I think it would be the "pop" of white that would do so well!

I love the look of the white tv stand! I totally understand with the carpet, I used to have a shaggy rug in my bedroom at the same time had budgies in there and the rug just collected all the seed, it felt gross to walk on and because it was black you saw everything! Love how this is a judgement free zone! ❤

You and Bri, and a few others are my fav KZbinrs. I never miss those videos!!! We pay the grandorables to clean the baseboards. They do a terrific job and it saves my knees!! I dread cleaning carpets. DREAD it. The older I get, the more unsanitary I think carpets are. Area rugs are fine, but I don't want carpet anywhere in my home. Tip for large rugs like yours...we had a trampoline for years and I tossed my area rug on it, upside down so it didn't fade in the sun, and used Dreft baby detergent or Woolite and a hose to clean it twice a year. Early spring, as soon as temps reached high 60s and again in the fall before it got too chilly. Do it first thing in the morning and let it dry all day. If you don't have a trampoline, you can use a swing set, too. Just make sure the top isn't rusty or dirty first. Great job. You accomplished a TON of work!!!

That rug...oh my!!! It reminded me of when my husband pulled up our bedroom carpet in our first house together. I thought someone had dumped a bucket of sand. It was so rotted underneath and had collected so much dirty it almost filled a 5 gallon bucket once it was swept up. I told my husband no wonder it felt so dirty no matter how much I swept it. Now we live in another house with carpet all over. I can’t wait till we can remodel and replace the bedroom carpets and everything else with hardwood laminate. I did luck out on this house though, the couple kept it clean and I’ve only had to do minimal cleaning since moving in. The previous house was from an elderly couple who hadn’t had it cleaned in years. It took two hours just to scrub the kitchen hardware. And then I lost track of time stubbing the rest of the kitchen down. And just didn’t even want to think about the rest of the house and how long that took. lol This house is like I’m getting a fresh start to create a good cleaning routine. Which I need since I’m due in 3 weeks with our first kid. lol

I totally needed that motivation! We have an area rug that’s kinda shaggy and it collects everything! I have a love/hate relationship with it. Personally I like the darker entertainment center. It would be a nice contrast with your walls. However it’s all personal preference because both would look good in your space. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Hey Amanda. I have blinds too and they are my least favourite to clean, I usually get my husband to do them for me !! Also I had a rug in my living room until a couple of years ago when I saw how much debris it harboured I got rid of it. Looked bare for a while but used to it now. You and Bri and Ashley well and Amy ok and Meg lol are all my favorite cleaning videos and the kitchen is my domino chore too! Or making my bed is also a domino chore. We had a snow day yesterday we never get so I didn’t have to work and I used that day to finish my beginning of the year goal of decluttering all cabinets and closets done that feels so good! Now I can start spring cleaning which I’m ready for! I’m I have to get that shirt to go with my amazing tumbler!! Lol. Love the white tv stand to brighten it up and that’s why I love yours you keep it real and girl no judgement here!! I looked at my wood kitchen blind last night and was like umm I’ll just tilt that up for now instead of down 😂😂😂

My Mom used to have a cleaning company. They would remove the blinds and soak them in a tub to give them a thorough cleaning. Wash and rinse. I like the dark wood tv stand. Thanks for sharing.

@@ThisCrazyLife I asked my Mom about your very high ceiling fan. She said they always used tall ladders to reach them. They would remove the lamp/light covers and wash them in the sink. They used an all purpose cleaner/ soap and water to wipe down the fixture/fan. No easy way to do it. 😔

@@ThisCrazyLife if you remove the blinds to wash it the tub, it will make it easier to get to your windows for cleaning. Those really high windows could be cleaned with a squeegee with a long stick. Now I understand why people took their rugs outside, hung them over a line and beat them with a stick. Lol 😉

@@ThisCrazyLife maybe a closer weaved area rug would hold less dirt. I know you keep a very clean house. It's so frustrating to see so much come out of the rugs when we Spring clean.

My living room is the domino chore in my house! I HATE our old dark, dingy farmhouse kitchen, so I spend as little time in there as possible! Also... I love the white tv stand!!

White tv cabinet has my vote!! It Would pop in that area beautifully! I actually just made that discovery under my living room rug about 4 months ago and got rid of my rug!! Four months later I still have no rug but the echo is so bad in our house from all wood floors that I am back shopping for rugs😂Just some food for thought😊Have an awesome week Amanda💕

Yes!! It’s super simple and not pricey either! We have done it for years and it really couldn’t be easier. The only annoying thing is to take everything completely off the counters (which really isn’t actually hard at all) 😂
