Hello, I am the 2nd oldest of 9 children. The first girl. As a child, our home was always noisy and full. I had a lot responsibility taking care of the younger ones and sometimes wished I was an only child. However, it was nice always having someone to be with because we were all close, our parents did make sure that we did a lot of things together as a family. We are all very close in age, between 1-2 years apart. Now that we are all grown and have our own families, we are still close and do things together quite often. I am grateful that I am not an only child and I have my siblings to count on. Family gatherings are always fun and we focus on creating memories. I can't imagine my life without any of them.

Hi there....i would have loved a large family, i planned on having 7 if it was possible. It didn't quite work out that way...out of 7 pregnancies i ended up with 3 children. I feel blessed and privileged to have those three. My first two are 5 years apart and the second and third are 3 years apart. So, eight years from my first baby to my last one. They are grown now, and are the kindest and nicest people i know. ❤. I never thought i would stop wanting another one, but strangely i did. Have a wonderful 2025 ahead. X

Hi Becky thanks for the motivation. I had three sisters No brothers. My mom had three sisters and no brothers but my Dad came from a family of ten boys and four girls. He was third from the oldest by the time the younger siblings came along he had married with at least my two older sisters . He was closer with his siblings closer to his age. I think large families are awesome. It might have been fun to have some brothers. 😊

I agree that kids closer in age probably have a closer relationship because they can relate to each other and are most likely at similar stages in life. I’m sure there are some siblings further in age with a great relationship as well! Big families are so special!

You have to decide what you want and dont worry about pleasing everyone. You are the mom. And sometimes what seems like isnt working out or working well ....actually is. I love the bench! It looks rustic so it adds a bit of “visual texture” it’s narrow so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Hang a mirror or picture or wreath above it. You could maybe put fresh flowers on it with a couple framed photos? I love it! You have a beautiful home, im sure whatever you do will be great! ❤

I grew up with 5 brothers and I am the only girl. The first 5 of us were born in a 7 year span so we are all pretty close. The oldest is 29 and the youngest is 15. Most of us are now married and having children and one thing I have noticed is that we all cherish our nieces and nephews so much. We don't see each other very often but we do talk on a regular basis and always make sure to go out of our way to see each other. I highly recommend having a big family because I will forever cherish growing up with a lot of sibilings and the relationships we have with each other.

Soap and water that’s all I use! Think back probably 25 years ago there wasn’t all these sprays on the market. Our moms just used a hot soapy rag to clean! It does the best.

Hi Becky!! I did the same with Christmas this time, just minimal decor and let my 4 little kids decorate the tree (including all of their diy Christmas decor)!! That’s what I’ll be doing from now on! It was the most fun, and the kids enjoyed it so much, which is the whole point!!

i am 15 and i currently have 14 siblings. Oldest 19 and youngest 3 months old. I am the third oldest child. Growing up with alot of siblings is super fun. My family is full of comidiens, we love to laugh, and hang out. Yesterday actually alot of my siblings went out to a friends house and i was stuck at home with the little ones. It wasnt very fun. I just wasnt used to it. The house was too quiet lol. When I get older and become a mom I 100% want to have alot of kids. Proabbly as much as my mom had.

So I come from a ton of siblings. 9 altogether. But I grew up with 3 brothers and a ton of cousins. I was extremely close to my brothers growing up. I have 6 kids all between 2-3 years apart. They are all very close and each other's best friends just like it was with my brothers but even better imo. I'm glad I started younger because soon my last child will be when I'm almost 40. I love being young enough to watch them all grow up and have older children to bond with too. I have a teen and preteen right now and honestly it's such a beautiful stage with us as Mom and daughters. Also I love this video because the music is just instrumental thank you so much for that!!!! I cannot stand the music with people singing in it while trying to get inspired by the cleaning itself. You did an amazing job! And YES to cast iron! All of my pots and pans are cast iron or stainless steel.

I was blessed with two sons they always got along and are still great friends as young adults. I wear my cozy slippers when I clean around the house. Love your videos. You have a beautiful home. Growing up it was my sister and I who are 2 years apart and I can't imagine having anyone other than her as my sibling. My kiddos are all 7 years apart. Not planned that way, just how it worked out. I hope they continue to love each other how they do now for the rest of their lives. I have caraway pots and pans, kettle and storage containers and I LOVE them. I have the iconic set in black and gold, the kettle and the minis set along with the cookware+ set that I really wanted the stock pot and rondeau pan. I have considered the bakeware sets also but I really love my Curtis Stone bakeware for now. I have had my caraway sets for 2 years now and they look great still! I do not put them in the dishwasher though. Occasionally with my gas range they need the black stuff cleaned off the bottom and I use a pumice stone, comes right off and no damage. They key is to keep it wet.

I am the 3rd of 4 siblings - 3 girls and 1 boy. My brother is the youngest and 4 years younger than I am. My 2 sisters are 2 and 4 years older. I don't know, I was always close to my brother and we still get along very well. My two older sisters have different opinions of how a life "should be". One of them has 2 kids, the other one doesen't have any kids and I am having 5 kids and I am really happy with that. My sisters think I am having too many kids at my age (I am 31) 🤷🏼‍♀️ My brother loves large familys too. I think it really depends - some get along really well and some don't. My oldest turns 13 this week and my youngest is 6 months and they really love each other! ❤ We'll see how they will be getting along as adults! 😊

My dad had a large family- 8 brothers and sisters. The overall consensus is the older siblings ended up raising the younger ones. There’s a lot of resentment there. But that was a different time. I think if you’re raising your kids and not expecting their siblings to do it. It’s very different. They’ll grow up being close and having a nice bond.

I've heard this a lot! Whenever my older ones want to play with my youngest in another room (like the playroom) I make sure they know that they have to tell me before they walk away from her, so she is not left alone, but they are never forced to watch her! I want them to love each other equally, not feel like they are babysitters! ❤️

Large family depends on the parents. If the parents are loving and kind the kids will grow up same. I personally don’t speak to any of my 6 siblings because of a toxic family. My 3 kids are being raised differently and I hope they are close. Already I see a difference and how much they say they are friends and want to do things together just because they are raised differently. ❤

I absolutely loved growing up with 3 brothers, I was spoiled because my sister, who was only 18 months old when I was 7 weeks, died of viral pneumonia. I’m 60, my husband and I only have one, but we couldn’t afford anymore, but I wish I had more, anyway and just didn’t care, we would of figured it out, my one TRUE regret in life is only having one. If in your heart you really want more, I would say do, especially since you really are a good mother.😊❤

I am a 33 year old who was 1 of 6 kids. My identical twin and I are in the middle. As a child, I had to share everything, and most things I wore were hand-me-downs. I was very jealous of children who had their own rooms and wore new clothes. I spent a lot of time outside or locking myself in the bathroom just to get privacy. My twin and i got our own rooms at 16 and because of that, we fought less and had enough individuality to appreciate each other more. By my teen years, my close-age siblings were my best friends and that continues to this day. So, I do think it can be really wonderful to have 5 siblings. But please, please recognize their need for privacy and individuality. Even if you can't give them their own bedrooms and clothes, validate their emotions when they express a need for privacy and individuality that may be different from what you craved as a child/teen.

My husband was 1 of 7. As adults its nice to have siblings for all holidays. Plus we spent a vacation together each year once we had kids so the cousins could also bond. Not sure i could have handled 6 kids myself though.

Definitely think any floor cleaning machine is going to work better than a mop and bucket just because of the added suction. I did a wet paper towel test on several areas of my floor and the towel was black letting me know the mop wasn't doing the trick.

I am one of seven kids in family. I am in the middle. We are now 49, 48, 44, 39(me), 38, 34, 33. I love our family so big. Now is even bigger with all wifes and husbands and grandchildren for my parents but I wouldn't change it for anything. Most of my childhood I've spent active with my one year younger brother - we are now 39 and 38. We have built a lot of houses around the garden, climbed up trees, ride bike or swim in a river. Wa always had dinners together and all festives. Now I am mom of two boys 15 and 5 and unfortunately my house is too small for more kids and I can't afford bigger house with more space but I could have one or two more kids because time flies so fast and before you know they are grow ups and don't need you as much as babies 💔 Now I focus on my boys, my husband and most important on myself. Wear shoes in your house. It is better for your feet as you age. Wish I had realized this when I was younger. Now I wear specific shoes indoors and because I have tile floors, which are horrible on your feet. They still get dirty on the bottoms, so I periodically clean the soles. Just do a white sock test to see which method, mop vs. machine, get your floors clean. I ditched using reuseable mop pads after seeing the bottom of my mop socks. I now use the pads for quick clean-up of spills.

I am the oldest of 6 kids. 2 girls 4 boys. I’m 33 and my sister (the youngest) is 13. I love it personally, especially now that my brothers and I are all adults. In my opinion, based on what I’ve seen from mine and other families, when you have a lot of siblings, if the parents cultivate good relationships the kids usually get along and grow up to like each other.

I have 4 younger brothers, and am pretty close with all of them. Growing up we did do alot together. What I miss is cousin relationships, because my family lived on the east coast and my extended family was on the west coast. Then I had my 3 children before any of my brothers, so my kids aren't close to their cousins. My dad had an older sister that he wasn't close to, but my mom was one of 7 and she remained close to her siblings so even though my mom is gone I am close to my Aunt.

Girl, send them pans back while you can. They’re very pretty and work really well for the first six months to a year but I promise you that there isn’t one person who cooks with them that the nonstick doesn’t wear off within a year. My sister bought them and cooks on low heat with everything because all she does is sauté vegetables slowly, and about 10 months in the vegetables were sticking To the pan even with the heat on low in a liquid in there.

I only have one sister, 3 years younger than me, but we were treated very different by our parents (she is the golden child) - and we were always way too different in temper, behaviour, attitude, etc. to ever be close. I don't know if it would have been better with more siblings, though 🤷‍♀️

I’m the same when it comes to hand me downs I kept them to reuse for the first three and because we were moving and things were in storage when I had my third I didn’t get to use the things I kept from children 1&2 so it proved to me I didn’t need to keep or buy as much I went on to have 10 children my baby is 2 and the youngest 8 kids only have 7 outfits for each season and after 3 months they start to look worn as they weren’t expensive to begin with but here in the uk everything is so expensive at the moment x Ruby

On having more kids…. How is anyone able to support 4 plus kids? I love kids but so expensive in this day. Thats something id consider before having more. On mopping. With the mop and bucket you're vacuuming first. With the tineco, your doing it together so the water would be dirtier since the vacuumed dirt is in it. 😀

I come from a family of 8 and I personally felt lost at times although that was perhaps the disfunction of the family unit 😒 With the wall, a feature wall of wallpaper (subtle) warm tones or sage green with a larger cabinet/sideboard in a rich medium/dark wood tone with a beautiful accent lamp and coffee table books and candle a tray for keys and things 👍🏼😉❤️🇨🇦

With the Tineco, there's much less water to debris ratio vs. a mop bucket. You're probably getting the floors equally as clean.
