I am definitely a list maker. I get the most things done, because I don’t have to stop and think “what was I going to do today“. And of course, crossing something off a list is so satisfying! And I am a couch vacuumer. Love your videos!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who washes my sink after emptying it or washing dishes. Also, you should invest in a Bissell Crosswave. It vacuums and mops and you can clean your rugs with it. I have one and 10/10 recommend. Dawn Powerwash is AMAZING. I use it all of the time. During the shutdown the refills were sold out for the longest time, but they’re back and I’m so happy. It works just as well as the regular old school Dawn.

A tip, wash your towels separately from your clothes due to bacteria build up on towels after washing hands or body. Same with bedding if you already don't do so and I was bedding separately from towels and clothes (1 pile towels, 1 pile bedding, 1 pile clothes and with clothes i separate whites, colours and darks/black clothes incase the colours bleed in the washing to your whites or light colours), im from Edinburgh, Scotland and we have a gentle disinfectant here called Zoflora, which have many different sent's and I sometimes (if they smell bad) put a cap full of it in the drum and softener compartment on towels and bedding, if not I use unstoppable's which smell incredible. Plus always leave washing machine door open after your load to keep bacteria at bay so your machine doesn't smell x p.s i hoover the couch not every day but defo do it once a week defo effective

Fiddle leafs are major divas. First, they hate any change, so a few months after any move they'll start to drop leaves seemingly out of no where. Also they don't regrow lost leaves so they can get really bare if you're not mindful. They must be near a very bright window, even a bit of direct light, despite what they say is fine... The reverse, like putting it in the middle of a shady room, is problematic. Lastly, they hate drafts of any kind, so away from vents and doors and drafty windows. Regular water and if it hasn't protested in 6 months by dropping leaves, you have it in a reasonable routine and you should keep at it! Any changes and the process starts again. Good luck! Also, really enjoy watching you! You have a nice voice to listen to casually, and you occasionally make me actually get up off the couch and tidy up. :)

I've had my fiddle leaf fig for ~6 months now and it grew like crazy over the summer and it is my pride and joy... I winterized the bejesus out of it so it has a fighting chance haha. But they are total divas, that's a good way of putting it.

I love to see calm restored! I have all boys, so their clothing is pretty streamlined, but the younger they are, the easier is it to accumulate stuff. So many little socks and t-shirts! Staying on top of it helps me avoid buying too much and motivates me to just have what we need because I don’t have the patience for folding all the tiny clothes!

when i was growing up my mother had a special "stair basket" (look it up, its a special kind of slim-line basket shaped to the stairs) to put all our junk so we knew what needed to be put upstairs at the end of the day! it was a great system, if i had stairs now I would have one for sure haha

100% team couch vacuum for life! Snowdrop is life, my favorite Mrs. Meyers scent forever. My favorite method to clean the tub is blue dawn, scrub and let that sit, then a good vinegar rinse, then rinse the whole thing with hot water. For stubborn spots, Bar Keepers Friend is the best!

Before I would just watch your cleaning videos because they were satisfying, but lately they've really inspired me to do a lot more rearranging and organizing around my house. Also, I'm not sure if the height would match the space better or not, but I think you could try switching the table under the tv with that white one behind the couch. Just a thought before you go looking into something else.

I vacuum my couch 👍🏻 I think that people don’t like the idea of using the same vacuum head on the floors as you do the couch. My vacuum came with a separate attachment so I just use that!

We don't vacuum the couch cushions. But we do clean under the cushions. My Aunt's dog just recently passed away. And her dog would leave hair wherever she went. And she would always lay on this one part of the couch and my aunt would have to vacuum the whole couch. My Aunt's dog also had a ramp to climb up because she was old. And that would be covered in dog hair so she used the vacuum cleaner to clean it off.

I vacuum the couch as well (for dog hair and random crumbs from kids) but I use the hand held attachment though , maybe it’s just me but the bristles that clean the floor and rugs would be too dirty

Your pantry organization totally motivated me to do mine and it took me all freaking day but I got it done and it’s SO satisfying! Lol For YEARS I have been cleaning my bathtub with Kaboom foaming cleaner and a Mr. Clean magic eraser. I spray the foam on, clean the rest of the bathroom and then wipe it clean at the end with the magic eraser. It’s strong stuff, but I haven’t found ANYTHING else that makes it as easy to do and gets it so sparkling clean like I like it!!

What if you switch the white console table with the one under the t.v.? Also, i do vacuum my leather sofa bc of the crumbs that catch in the little buttons and it is a crumb magnet with a 3 and 4 year old. I do clean the attachments of my vacuum before doing this. I've seen some clean with me videos where the person vacuums the restroom and then the beds and other parts of the house. Love your home!

I definitely vacuum my couch as we have a dog too. I like to sprinkle some baking soda on it and let it sit for a few minutes before vacuuming it. This gets rid of odours.

Fiddle leafs need consistency- they do not like drafty places so try not too put near a vent. I water mine once a week and I don’t recommend reporting until necessary! Also they need drainage holes at the bottom of their pot or they will get root rot :)

Totally not crazy on vacuuming the couch. We do it about once a week or sadly sometimes 2 weeks lol. We have a special attachment that helps get pet hair off the couch and I love it.

The Dawn Powerwash spray is super good too! Really helps remove grease and we use it at the restaurant I work at! We ran out pretty quick but you can just keep filling it up with regular dawn dish soap and water and it works the same!

I love all your videos, Carissa! Quick tip to share with you. Clean the inside of your microwave by microwaving a glass measuring cup of water and vinegar or lemon juice for 3-4 minutes. It produces steam and softens any gunk left in the walls. Wipe with a clean cloth. I’m not sure what you used in your video. Maybe Mrs Myers? Not sure if that is chemical free, but just make sure what you use is safe to use in the microwave. ☺️

The new Dawn Platinum PowerFoam has been a game changer for me❣ It's not cheap but worth every penny imo. I did covered it during quarantining and since I don't have a dishwasher it really is a power player. I just spray each dish or glass with it and even if I can't get to the dishes right away it loosens up the grime. I can pretty much wipe anything clean and rinse it off then air dry. I think with the girls it'll help you keep up on all of the cups and dishes. Recommend! They also have refills.

I carry a basket from room to room with me. As I enter a room I pull out everything for that room out, then load it up with everything that doesn't belong in the room I'm working on. Then anything left over I clear it out room by room, putting it all a way as I go. Love vacuuming my couch, between dogs, cats, and slobs it makes my sofa feel clean.
