Hello Candis! I lived in the Nashville area for over 10 years and just recently relocated to southern GA. For restaurants try The Pancake Pantry in Nashville, Loveless Cafe, Demos, for summer fun try out Nashville Shores they have season passes if you really love it! Those are just a few of my faves. I hope you love it there as much as I did. I want to go back so bad!!

I'm in Tennessee about 35 minutes from Nashville. My husband is retired military, we were stationed at Fort Campbell Ky. We really like the area so it's now home for us. I'm not much on restaurants and eating out, so I can't recommend any to you. It would be nice to run in to you out and about when you move to the area.

Hey Candis!!! Girl I can relate there is one side of my kitchen if I plug in something that requires a lot of energy and voltage it sets the breaker on that particular side so I definitely get everything out of the way so I can do my thang! When we have a lot of family and friends over and we fry foods I use the big fryer. The recipe looks amazing we can eat leftovers for breakfast too I for sure will put a fried egg on anything lol. Nashville is now an “it city” and extremely fast-paced now. I am a native Nashvillian and so much has changed. Spend time on Fifth and Broadway downtown! Get you some Hattie B’s hot chicken, Slim and Husky’s Pizza, and so much more. Good luck finding a place as developers and investors are buying up real-estate here sight unseen. Rent prices are ridiculous😩 Hopefully I will see you around! Have you thought about teaching again? I teach public school here and we could use your Exceptional Education expertise! I live in Nashville. This housing market isn’t for the faint of heart so you will probably really struggle to find a place, especially when it comes to resale. You may be lucky and find some new construction homes that are close to completion that haven’t been sold yet, but it’s just a toss up. Also depends what area you’re looking to live in. A colleague of mine said she put in 40 separate offers in the Brentwood area and she’s still trying to find something. Good that you’re looking early! As far as recs for food and activities: Parthenon Nashville Zoo Science Museum Gaylord Opryland Hotel (free but pay to park) Cinco de Mayo locations have great food and drinks! Lots of good food places downtown. Sambuca is one of my faves. Skulls Rainbow Room for date night sans kids.
