Thank you for talking to us about the results of different mixes. I love both paintings for entirely different reasons. They both, as you said, have very well defined lines, the colors are so different in each so that makes them totally different. The cloudy one is very pretty, obviously your mix worked but the green one is a very lovely color. 🙏🏼💗🍀

Thanks for telling me Stephanie, so good to read. I'm outta the loop most often and have no clue what people are saying lol and yes DecoArt realized that their biggest selling product is the satin enamels and it's not used to paint cabinets :) I'm happy to be collaborating with them, they have so many cool products.
@vegasmainiac77452 жыл бұрын
2nd one definitely 👍. Thank you for doing these experiments! For me, since I'm not producing fluid art commercially, I wouldn't use this but it helps to know what works. The newest version of artist loft soft body white is working similar to the old version that everyone loved without adding any satin enamel or behr base c. When I want a profusion of pearls I add a teaspoon to a tablespoon of decoart satin enamel. Thank you again!

Hey MelyD, thank you for the demonstration. I am grateful you showing this option instead of using floetrol especially since it is not really avail in Canada and it is awfully expensive. Thanks again, I appreciate your tutorial and experiment 🥰

I love both of them but I think I prefer slightly the second one with the purple. @Kelly-rt5jc2 жыл бұрын
I definitely prefer #2 and I kind of like the defined effect but not for all cloud pours. I know you are going to play around and perfect this new idea using all Deco Art and maybe it’s just a matter of watering down the ready pour? Congrats on the new gig. Hey! I wanted to tell you about one of their products that I just tried today. I just used their Triple Thick as a top-coat on a little box I painted and it was soooo shiny even with only one coat! It made the colors pop and the metallics sparkle and didn’t even leave one brush stroke after laying it on pretty thick. It doesn’t say that it’s UV resistant so might not work on the paintings tho. You may have already used it before so I apologize if you have. Thanks for doing what you do! The OG of the cloud pour! 💥 ✌️
@MelyDartist2 жыл бұрын
You're not the first to say this for the tripple thick. I think I have some and it's about time I try it :) thanks Kelly

I'm so happy you are back. I just love watching you work. I like the first one, but the second is my favorite! FYI -- I'm in the states and I stopped using Artist Loft with my satin enamel because it wasn't reacting. I tried Apple Barrel Snow White 1:1 with DASE and I like the results I am getting.
@MelyDartist2 жыл бұрын
Hi Deborah, yeah Artist Loft changed their recipe unfortunately and ruined everything! LOL but apparently they are going to switch it back. Yeah, I heard apple barrel works well and Liquitex basics too.

@joeycasey23232 жыл бұрын
I agree with a lot of the others, the second one looks better, but the first is nice as well. Thank you for doing these experiments for us cloud lovers! There have so many experiments done lately because of the new Artist loft flow paint. Wonder why they couldn't just leave it be as it was. Looking forward to seeing more, I love cloud pours so much! Can one have too many cloud pour paintings on their walls? Also thank you for your efforts in getting Deco art products available to us Canadians!!
@MelyDartist2 жыл бұрын
They probably changed the recipe without doing their homework. It really sucks cause its not just good for cloud pours. I used to use SO much artist loft white. It was in all my paintings basically accept Golden Fluid. I'm glad you like my experiments and thanks for watching :)
@Loonit232 жыл бұрын
Wow. Really liked your result and cloud technique! I especially bought the satin enamel for this, but I don't know what to mix it with. I only have Amsterdam white, or house paint, will one of them do okay?

Nice experiment. I like the purple a bit better. But it is st Patrick’s day so the green is great too. I’m wondering if more pouring medium would make a difference. I’ve never used their pouring medium so I’m just curious if it reacts differently with more. I guess that’s another experiment eh??

I definitely prefer the second one as well, the one with the purple in it. But I have to say I do not have the success with cloud pours that you do. I have tried every recipe possible, different paints, different ratios, but my clouds never look good like yours. Lol. Oh well, I’ll just keep experimenting. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

Less is more my friend. Go back to basics, sometimes its really the best way :) thicker paint too! That's my biggest issue. I make my paints so thin sometimes I ruin everything.

So happy you're back!I have a question, if you want to pour on vynel, I have a lot. How do you deal with the lower area of the LP, which is a different height? Its the area that has the label and is a bit lower. It looks like the hole revealed itself or do you need to cover the hole? I would love to make some clocks and I have too many questions,sorry but I need some advice. Love ❤️ the second one but I like the first also and again so happy to see you and your videos! Your nails look beautiful 😍
@MelyDartist2 жыл бұрын
The lower part of the vinyl that you're talking about barely shows afterwards. Personally I like it! I wish I could see it more cause you see it's paint on a vinyl. The resin levels itself. Basically if you're lucky you see a little ring. I cover the hole with painter's tape and remove it when I'm done my pour cause I want the hole. Hope this helps and omg yes! I love my nails too 😁

You don’t prep the record or glass if you pour on them? I haven’t started this journey yet, but I will soon though I don’t really have a good setup in my house. So we’ll have to see. I was curious about how your paint holds up on surfaces. I’m very interested to watch more of your videos.
