Thank you so much for sharing this. I fell in love with Coach again after so many years of a LONG (20+ yr) break as well. I am glad they are going back to their heritage/vintage styles. I think it may be due to the Design Director from Mulberry that is bringing back that luxurious, high-end, and rich/equestrian style. I was never a fan of all of the logos from coach, but I like the new bag with the horse and carriage print. This new rambler bag is to die for. I definitely need one! I have to admit that I am so tired of all of the inconvenience and not functional chain handbags that all companies have been making that is similar to the Chanel Flap. I am glad this bag has no chains, but just clean, functional, and classic with quality.

When I was 23; I went to work my first job in NYC. It was 1991. I remember many executive assistant wearing this bag and thinking I should get one. I was surprised at how expensive it was (a couple of hundred dollars, I think). For me, It was the Louis Vuitton of the day. Everyone had one in the corporate world.

I wish the Cassie 19 came with the simpler turn lock design. Not a fan of the C-turn lock. Please let us know if the excess straps of the rambler end up curling up. That was the problem of the older ramblers.

I have this bag for some weeks now and one thing I notice is that if I keep something dangling on the side (i.e. hand sanitizer or anything with significant weight, really) , It keeps the excess straps from starting to curl up by the natural weight it pushes inwards! And of course if you don't like things hanging around your bag you can always remove it whenever using it!

Of the moment question- Do you think that the leather of this bag would withstand sanitizing wipes? I’m trying to pick a bag that I can use and wipe, but doesn’t feel like losing out on style during what could be the next year plus of heightened concerns. I think it’s important to maintain a little bit of ourselves while taking precaution, and using a ziplock bag or disposable fashion feels like an added bummer (just my personal opinion). Hmm, I have no idea. I only use leather products on my bags, never wipes because of the alcohol and it’s drying effects. But I know some ppl wipe down their bags all the time and it seems fine for them. If I were you, I’d use the anti bacterial cleaning products made specifically for leather!

Did you see the Coach Hutton shoulder bag (black and gold)? It kind of reminds me of the Chanel Le Boy bc it has a thicker chain. Only caveat is the depth is narrower so I don't think it fits as much... Tempting

Lovely bag, TFS :) I also remove the hang tags from my bags, because I prefer the minimal look, but I do keep them aside. The hang tags from the 1941 collection (with metal) are so cute though, but they can get lost easily from what I heard, so that is another reason for me to take them off. I totally agree about the Hermès “look” - I ALWAYS say that about my old Coach pieces too! I really want to pick up a new piece now too - thinking about the bigger version of this!
