the sapphire and emerald palettes have my attention the most. i also like the agate palette is pretty as well but i much rather get the orchid you not palette, because there is a better range of purples in that one. i loveeee these quads because of their quality and how easy it is for me to put a quick look together. thank you so much for all the hard work you do. ♥️♥️♥️

They really love their puns over there at Colourpop! Lol! This collection is an interesting twist. I can see what they were doing and I can appreciate they didn't go for a primary, saturated color but instead opted to keep the colors rich and deep. These look gorgeous. It would have been nice to see some different finishes. Wouldn't it have been amazing to see a multichrome shade in each palette that really made you step back and sat, WOW? I think that is what I'm waiting for Colourpop to do. I'm waiting for something a bit more creative in their actual formula. They do a fantastic job coming up with puns and ideas for new collections, but I'm at a point where I want something completely different. I'm not sure Colourpop will ever offer an entire palette of multichromes, but I have no doubt that they could pull it off beautifully and it would be the number one selling palette of 2022. Colourpop, if you're listening, gimme a call. I have lots of ideas for you! Lol! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone!

I absolutely appreciate everything you do to create these videos, Amanda! This gives me something to think about because I often find the collector in me wants all of them, and as an artist and makeup enthusiast, I’m such a lover of color and jewel tones. I most definitely will be picking up the emerald, sapphire, and agate. I’m debating on citrine but gosh I love the color story. Btw what is that nail polish you’re wearing?! It’s gorgeous!

Yeah, totally agree. Would rather spend a few extra bucks on a bigger palette and be able to create multiple looks rather than by those individual quads, especially since play it jewel is so similar. I wasn't impressed with the quads at all. I love creating my own palettes with ColorPops individual shadows, you get the exact palette you want.

This was so helpful! Im trying to buy less this year but I get drawn in by colourpop bundles and vaults, so this video really helped me break down what I actually wanted (just emerald and sapphire) rather than purchasing a ton of quads that will duplicate colors I already have and love. I love the emerald palette. Not necessarily an emerald green color story but the gray undertones are very unique to me. It's the same reason I like the high tide palette. The sapphire is also beautiful but blues look horrible on my eyes unless they are more green based like mints and teals

I also think of amethyst instead of agate when it come to purple. But I think this agate is a little more reddish tone. Maybe there will be amethyst purple palette but purple will be more cool tone and more blue than agate

Ruby looks more garnet to me. The blue and green palettes are more interesting than the others in my estimation. But I’m more likely to pick up the ELF Bite Size or Essence pallets to use for a pop of color, because the colorful pallets (from any company) aren’t used frequently enough to warrant extra expense no matter how beautiful the colors or formulas.

The quads that stick out to me the most are the Ruby, Emerald & Sapphire since I don’t have very many shades in those tones in my personal collection. I also really want these quads because the gemstones are in each of my favorite colors & sapphire happens to be my actual birthstone. I also feel like these quads are what I wish the BH birthstone palettes had been. As far as the remaining quads go, I have all of those shades/tones elsewhere in my collection already. I may pick up all of them if they come to my Ulta though. I’m also hoping they’ll do quads for the remaining gemstones, which will make it more likely that I will be buying the entire collection.

I was re watching this because I want to get a few more quads and checking all the collections, I did get Sapphire when these came out, and I guess I was right lol. I'm a purple first, but agate is too warm for me, was hoping to like ruby & emerald but I think ruby is also too warm & I have greens I like better in high tide & a few single super shocks. I haven't even played with the sapphire but I know those colors are beautiful. They give me a star wars vibe even, R2D2 & Lando Calirissian of course.

The blue quad's (set on sapphire) blue tones does remind me of the elf bite size eyeshadow, Acai You, which means a bit more blueberry colors but still similar imo. A fun challenge for you! The ColourPop quad, Gotta Agate can give you an almost identical look to Huda beauty rose Quartz and to naked ultraviolet! Do one eye with gotta agate: Psychic as transition, crease, and eyelid. Deepen outer corner with Long Distance. Dab Gem BB on lid. With Huda rose Quartz: gratitude as transition. Aura on lid and in crease. Deepen outer corner with Mantra. Dab Blissful on lid. I can’t believe how similar they are! Naked ultraviolet: hacked as transition, crease and lid. Digital to deepen outer corner. VR dabbed on lid. I just can’t believe how similar all three of these eye looks are! And remember the Too Faced Clover palette? That one is a little similar, not as similar but still a little similar: fur baby as transition shade. Cuddle buddy through crease and outer corner. Ruh Roh on lid. Dab Best Friends lightly on lid. Deepen with either Save Them All or Woof. Gotta laugh at myself when I do almost the same exact looks when I reach for these palettes!

Thank you so much for this. I was thinking about the Agate, Emerald, and Sapphire when I first saw primo photos. After the swatch comparisons, I think I may skip this launch altogether, at least for now. Agate: I keep buying purple palettes looking for the elusive deep blueish-purple. I do have Its a mood and that's more the type of purple I'm going for. I also have It's My Pleasure and I do love it, but I skipped Orchid You Not because the reddish plummy purples don't look great once I blend them out on my eyes. Emerald: I appreciate that they went for something different, but I actually love my olivey grungey greens over teal blueish greens. This one kinda makes me think of the greens in Nook, Inc. and if I didnt already have that one, I'd probably get Emerald since Emerald doesn't have the glitter. Sapphire: Its pretty and its the most unique, but I don't really do blue that often, and so I think I'm good with the few blues I have from my exsisting palettes for when I am reaching for a pop of blue.

Rubies aren't primary red, they're more pink-tinged. If you're thinking primary red with more blue tones, that's garnet.

I don’t have a lot of reds greens or blues or purples from colourpop but I do notice that my eyes really became more magical with green eyeshadow and purples really bring out brown eyes and reds I love reds on my eyes but I tend not to use them cause I’m allergic to carmine which makes it difficult for me to use red eyeshadow on my eyes they get very irritated

It looks like most of the quads are not vegan, just the Topaz and Citrine ones are. The blue and green quads do contain carmine in a few of the shades. I really don't get why these colors would have carmine in them. I am one who is sensitive to it as well so I need to be mindful of that ingredient.

Yes very true that’s why I can’t wear a lot of red eyeshadow cause my eyes get really itchy one time I put on a tarte Amazon clay palette and my eyes after I took off the eyeshadow had a rash all around my eyes I thought my mom gonna have to take me to the hospital it was so bad I had to have ice packs on my face that’s how bad it was but yeah I’ll be careful I can wear the majority of their eyeshadow idk but their carmine never irritates my eyes which is weird

Though 2 of my CP palettes have 1 shade each that have carmine, yet they don't give me any problems, which is good I guess. But neither color is red, they do have a rosy tone to them though. Thankfully I can use them without issue.

Out of these new quads, it looks like the Topaz and Citrine ones are vegan, the others are not. But CP sometimes will label palettes as vegan but when looking at the ingredients there is carmine which means they are not. Like Amanda said, it's best to look at the actual ingredients to be sure if it's vegan or not.

These are just blah. I feel like Colorpop is just recycling colors at this point and I really don't go for quads. The only good thing about quads are they are easy to travel with, but I feel like I would need at least 3-4 of them to make a few different looks and would be better off with one bigger palette that cost just a few bucks more, to get the same results. Plus these would have been better with 3 mattes and one shimmer to create options for more looks. Just my opinion. But I do love your in depth videos on products and your voice is sooo soothing.
