I would love to spend a day in the marsh with Rick and Barry. That would be very educational and probably humorous as well. Love to listen to experienced duck hunters like those two.!

Wow you're a lucky man got a professor to hunt with and an author and I don't know if you've read Barry's book but it's a very good book He's a good man never had the opportunity to hunt with him yet but I have went fishing with him and get all the knowledge he can from that professor wish I had somebody like that to hunt with

I would love to have the opportunity to have Rick as a guest in my public land hunts. The stories and knowledge to be gained by simply listening over a cup of coffee and a sunrise. Great video regardless

Rick and Barry were two of the nicest gentleman I’ve had the pleasure to meet in the field. If anyone is reading this go pick up Barry’s book it’s phenomenal. I especially love the story of his impromptu trip to Louisiana him and his friends took in an old station wagon during the 70’s. Their experiences meeting Creole people for the first time and his stories of amazing hunts in Louisiana marshes that have since fallen to habitat degradation are priceless if your a nostalgic duck hunter like me. Born of a North Wind - Barry Pratt Glad you guys got out, keep up the good work Matt. That spot was lights out a couple days earlier dang it!

Thanks! I'll second Barry's book. Very interesting

Always enjoy your hunts. After 30+ years of waterfowling, its refreshing to see young guys like yourself who still do it the right way. God Bless, Joe.

Nice of you taking outsiders to duck hunt. Unfortunately it wasn’t what you were hoping for that day. Are they coming back for next days?

I notice your gloves every video I see. What kind of gloves are you using? It seems you can still call well with them but I'm assuming they help keep you warm
@HighPrairieSportsmen2 жыл бұрын
I just use ranching gloves. Fairly thin but cheap and carry several pairs in case they get wet.
