I am happy to inform anyone who watches this great series of videos, that upon request, the creator of the videos made a pair of tailgate strut supports for me and they are vantastic! If you have a bike/cycle carrier fitted to the rear door of your Bongo, the strut supports are a must have. Simple essentials, thank you so much... as mentioned, I can leave the (support) broom at home now 😄

I enjoyed watching the new interior coming along, very nice. I have now fitted a cycle carrier to the back of my Bongo, and wondered if you'd make a couple of strut supports for the tail lift door for me?

It's the same amount of access as I had before, so you can tilt the seat back enough to get in and do most things. For more serious engine work I'm making the whole kitchen pod very easy to remove (you'll. see what I do in the next few videos!). Cheers!

Hi and great video again, you have some nice tools for your projects now, you just need to convince the boss about a CNC machine,.. I have been looking for a solution on how to have the porta-potty in the van when the bed is out as you know space is tight, I saw a conversion the day before and they had a ledge to act as a seat and I presume to support the loo at night, I think your idea is an improvement as you have a storage box as well......my question is, I would like to build one the same and wondered if you could draw around your two curved template pieces on newspaper and post them to me as you seem to have the shape just right, I will pay you postage and time of course. thanks and look forward to the next installment.

Thanks! I can only dream of a CNC machine.... Loos are difficult to fit into these small vans, I can put one under my additional seat when in L shape seating mode as I did in this video here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZ3IfpucqM17nJY - But you'd nee that exact toilet to do it (and I don't really like that loo to be honest with you!). I only actually made 1 template for the pull out cooker slider opening, the other I simply jigsawed it close then tidied it up with a flush trim router bit. It might be better to give you the exact measurements and I'll tell what to use for the rounded corners (it's a common household item) so you can easily recreate it on your project? I don't mind sending you a paper template, but measurements might work best so you can adjust them as you see fit. Just let me know! Cheers 👍

oh yes .. nice new kitchen,,, im just about to buy a bongo and was wondering with the kitchen behind the driver seat and you still access the engine from drivers side

You can get access, it's a bit limited, but I've done several oil changes with it like it is. I've actually made it so I can remove the whole thing in 10mins for more serious engine work. Also it's not that bad to remove the drivers seat so there's options! Cheers 👍

I kept changing my mind about the seating, but I think I'm going to keep the L shape seating a that gives me so much more room. The old storage seat I had is now my template seat I'm afraid, but I can make you a new one if you wanted one? Glad my vids have been useful to you, that makes me very happy :) Cheers 👍

Oh no worries 👍 I might take you up on the offer of making one when I've done more to mine though. Currently still got two seats in there but prob gonna get a cabinet and customise it with a jigsaw cos I don't have all the other tools to build a nice one from scratch. Hopefully enough for sink microwave and storage is the plan but will have to see. Thanks again and look forward to all the next vids 😊

​@@shawing A jigsaw is basically all you need really as it's such a versatile tool, as long you have the vision of what you want that is the main thing. Also the joy of creating/modifying something yourself is so rewarding :) I've just picked up an old table to make my worktop, just hoping it works out ok! Cheers 👍

Hi as some one who is 6'1" tall are these Mazda bongo campervans big enough ? A.bed length ? B.legroom when driving ? I have a Talbot motorhome at the moment and am contemplating getting something like this as it is automatic transmission .informative videos bye the way 👍😊

I think the best way to answer this is to go to a meet up and sit in one and get a real world sense of how big/small they are. Bed length will depend on the layout as some have rock n roll beds (apporx 182cm) whereas others have the factory seats just laid down and as you can see mine is a totally different thing again. If you are anywhere Stourport on Severn (Lickhill campsite) there is the national Bongo bash happening this weekend where you could turn up and see lots of different layouts and probably sit in a few to judge the driving position. I have no doubt there others that are the same height as you being perfectly happy with these vans. Sorry it's not a direct answer! cheers 👍

Please please can I ask ref you blocking the rear air con so the front can be filled and working, I messaged on the video but maybe you missed it, your help knowledge would be hugely invaluable. I just want some air con even if just in the front 😮😢😢😢

@@VantasticIdeasjust had mine done by a local aircon repairer, my pipes had been cut and bent over where the rear matrix was removed. The aircon company cut these out and repiped with rubber hoses and now front air con all working .
