They wanted to investigate Russian involvement not with the suggestion that the election was rigged and invalid but that we had foreign groups working with domestic actors to influence the election. That does not invalidate the election results but it’s still something to be concerned over. These two things are worlds apart, Hilary, her campaign and her supporters did not claim the votes were invalid or illegal.

if this helps you decide, what makes hasan a fad and robs him of his personality is the fact that he's so obsessed with maintaining his peak viewership that he stopped doing anything that isn't political agitative propaganda because that's what got him his peak viewership. his case is obviously taken to a far extreme considering he's the largest political streamer, a contender for one of the top twitch streamers, and wants to keep it that way but there's a particular point in there that I think should help put it all into perspective: even though content that differs from your typical narrative/style/subject usually means less views, the viewers you do have are way more dedicated to you and your personality as a result. they feel like they get to know you a bit more which sounds parasocial but I mean hey as long as it's not reciprocal some may argue that your fans having a parasocial relationship with you is a good thing for building a fanbase. back in the olden days people sent fan mail especially fanart in droves (which I would consider somewhat parasocial) to their favorite KZbinr and not only did they get rewarded with the satisfaction of their favorite creator responding to their correspondence, but the creator also got content out of it which further bolstered their fans' dedication
