I’m not the most well-versed in flowers, but I love lilac and sweet peas- they smell amazing. Lupine and hollyhocks are probably next, and I’m a huge fan of periwinkle and violets in terms of foliage. I also think bachelors buttons are hugely underrated. Oddly enough, I’m not a huge fan of purple even though it’s common among my favorite flowers My favorite plant is probably wood sorrel. I ate the flower stems a lot when I was a kid

I love trumpet vines! The bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies like them a lot, too. They're pretty and bring in the wild life. I also love peonies because they smell so sweet. You can't plant them too close to your house because their sweet smell attracts ants.

Your mention of most communities existing online nowadays is mostly due to the loss of "third places". The loss of public squares, the shuttering of community centers, the general unkept and unsafe nature of parks due to lack of infrastructure investment... and to a certain degree the decline of malls. I've noticed less open hours for public rec centers and even public libraries. There are less and less spaces where people are allowed to freely congregate that aren't "at home" or "at work". There are plenty of paid spaces where you are expected to pay cover charge or actively purchase the products on offer in order to be allowed to exist there. The loss of freely available third spaces has become a major factor for city planners as of late. This includes spaces like community gardens.

I’m a huge plant nerd and when I heard you attempting gardening- I had to give some tips lol. Also ik you may never see this so ig this is for anyone who sees this 😂 One thing you can do to help with seeds growing is germinating. There are a few different ways and different ways work with different plants and flowers. But two ways that I do it is: -put seeds on a paper towel. Spray the paper towel with a little bit of water(basically till the towel is BARELY damp) and place the paper towel in a baggie. place it in the fridge for a couple of weeks and sprouts should start to grow. -Place the seeds in a container with soil. Water the soil and place a lid over the container. In my experience, the second one has worked best for me. Though yet again, I work more on greenery. Like succulents, cati, trees, pothos, etc. If you do that, water propagation is sooooo helpful with them. I’ve saved many plants that I’ve plucked off of bushes by doing water propagations. Though an exception with be plants string of pearls or creeping Jenny’s. You can clip a little bit off and stick them straight Into soil lol This was more me talking about plants vs tips but oh well 😂

@eugiferniuela7 ай бұрын
Yes, most seeds dry out after a while. If they are kept in a dry but cool place without sunlight they can last up to years depending on the type. Roses are kinda asshole seeds tho, both for maintaining and growing them, so it's best to be careful with them and use them before a couple months have passed.

A big misconception is that you can just put seeds in to the ground and they survive. Most plants you have to cultivate inside and then let the get used to the weather outside over a couple of weeks. 😅
@Mumbles02258 ай бұрын
You could try planting pollinator-attracting bulb flowers. They come back every year, they're super hard to kill, and if you move you can dig them up and take them with you. Many species also tend to spread on their own. It seems like dahlias, peonies, and ranunculus (my favorite) will all grow well in the UK. Just make sure you follow planting instructions, and also ensure you're layering for the seasons. You can plant bulbs quite closely together, so mix up the spring/summer/autumn bulbs. Periwinkle is also a great, evergreen, flowering ground cover... But you're not taking that with you haha it's stubborn.

This game is so pretty. Gives me America McGee's Alice, but joyful. I'm lucky enough to live in an apartment with a private garden, the largest in the neighborhood. It's been derelict for two years but last autumn I finally started getting things going again. I've decided to grow a lot of berries this time around. They're fairly self-sufficient and low maintenance aside from culling. Blackberries, Raspberries, mullberries etc. I already have red currant, wild strawberries, a fig and a peach tree. Also a plum tree but I think it's on its last legs. Last year it didn't bear fruit at all, though the year before it bore too much fruit so idk. But yeah, I settled on berries because they make for a great snack in place of candy.

One of my all time favourite girl names is Oriana. If I ever had a girl child, one of her names absolutely would have been Oriana. Planting too late will definitely have a negative impact on your plants. You also need to make sure you plant them in areas they like - full shade, partial sun/shade, full sun. And fertiliser is a big thing; compost, fertiliser spikes/mix, even mixing in some appropriate potting soil with your earth would help (there are specific potting soils for flowers, veg, fruit, etc). Also make sure that your plants like to be watered regularly. Some prefer drier soil. I love love love planting season. Though I typically stick to the normal, easy things - cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, peas, pumpkins, watermelons, strawberries, potatoes, onions, and herbs. I also love my lavender, snap dragons, lilies, lilacs, hyacinths, peonies. (Snap dragons are badass, too - if you let them dry out, they end up looking like tiny little skulls. It's so neat!) If it smells good, chances are that I'll try and grow it. All the butterflies and bees! And we leave the dandelions. We've actually got a "no mowing" ordinance during one month in the summer to protect the dandelions, for the bees. Everyone's lawns look terrible by the end of the month, but it's a small thing for the bees. Omg at 12:10 I thought she was going to say "I'm a lesbian" and when you said "Congratulations" I about lost it 😂
@MissHannaDay8 ай бұрын
Morph i assume your in the UK if you want to start growing veg you’ll need to start planting in the next month or so, potato’s you can grow in tubs, same with tomato’s and cucumbers so you can maximise space especially if you haven’t got much. Can’t help you with the flowers as I’m useless on that front 😂

I've grown several tall (indeterminate) tomatoes all in 1 roughly 2 gallon pot of just coconut coir and a little fertilizer before. They do pretty well and keep producing as long as long as they get enough water. You can just squirt some cherry tomato seeds you get from the store in there if you wanted, too. I've done that and there's a good chance it's an indeterminate variety with cherry tomatoes; but, I prefer to buy seed and knowing what I'm getting

Love your content, as always, Morph. Sounds like a really flexible (chill or go-hard-or-go-home sweaty) experience, depending on the mood. Also, the story has actual, you know, story -- and the ghost aspect is a great addition! Will likely give it a try, once I stop obsessing over Garden Paws (bit lacking in the story department, but dang if it isn't nice to have a directed sandbox game). Favorite flower is: the Bleeding Heart, Dicentra spectabilis. There are many prettier or more stunning flowers out there. More useful. More aromatic or with honest to goodness herbal use, but favorite is subjective, and the Bleed Heart is a delicate, but intractably hearty flowering plant. It will even (with some coaxing and a little care, grow in the most inhospitable places. Such as Arizona, where most of the soil is barren of moisture, and infused with clay. My grandparents has a small stand of Arizona Ash trees, and planted those plants that required dappled or partial sunlight in their shade. It was the cemetery for all the pets that passed away as I was growing up -- each time a pet died, another Bleeding Heart tuber/blub was planted as a grave marker -- so I had a shady place to sit and reflect, and watch as those I loved continued to flourish. Cheers!

I would love to play this game, I have been looking for a garden game like this for a long time. But even watching you play in full screen is making me dizzy.
