I loved to play the old farming games, and missed it since years. I don't know why I totally missed the release of Stardew Valley back than (maybe because it was mids my not playing any kind of video games at all phase; not even Pokemon). So I discovered Stardew Vally last year, but never really got into it, because I felt so incredible late to the game and left out. Knowing that there is the new big update on consoles, means there is a bit of a new wave of content and active players again. This gives me the opportunities to jump in on!

Am strangely hopeful tbh. Wasn't sure until they mentioned it's in Bywater. Someone knows the series because that really is a Hobbit colony in the books. Bilbo even makes a crack about Hobbits from Bywater in them. Lol.

About a month ago I decided to get a Steam Deck OLED and I have been thoroughly enjoying the new Stardew update… possibly my favorite game of all time. If you have Stardew on switch you are in for a treat!

So incredibly excited for Tales of the Shire!!! I don't even care if it's just a ton of fetch quests, I want to be a hobbit already LOL Also super excited for Two Point Museum, as I adore both Two Point games and a museum is just so perfect for this type of a game, and I can see myself sinking serious hours into it heh I bought Moonstone Island with the pass to get all updates but, haven't actually played yet LOL but I've watched enough to know it was worth it once I do. Also so happy to see SDV 6.1 is making it's way to consoles and mobile but, I only play on Deck anymore as I physically need the fishing mods sadly. I still really need to catch a Life is Strange game on sale while I have money lol I have played a couple demos and loved them so, excited for more coming! Also need evety DLC Power Wash Sim puts out, don't even care hahaha Potionomics is definitely on my wishlist as well, it looks so cute and fun!! I tried the demo for Amber Isles on Steam Deck and was sad I didn't love it because of controls and bugs, and now seeing some reviews from release, I'll definitely be waiting for some updates and probably a sale if I do give it a go....

Love your videos! Have many games on my wishlist based on your recommendations. Would love if you could mention the "parkour" aspect of games in your reviews. I'm not very good at video game parkour and don't like it. As examples Animal Crossing and Wyldeflowers has none, FaeFarm and Spiritfarer had some which I had to hand my controllers to my daughter to complete because I was just getting sooooo frustrated (she loves it!). Something like Gris I find beautiful but looking at it I'd be worried I'd get fed up early on so don't want to commit. A little bit of a heads-up on this matter when you're talking about a game would be fantastic.

This would be an awesome addition to reviews! I would maybe call it platforming difficulty? It’s also a big accessibility thing. I’m terrible at jumps, and my partner is even worse lol, so we need to know that kind of detail up-front. Edit to add: I actually stopped playing Gris because I was frustrated with the controls, so maybe watching a playthrough would be the better route for you 🫤

My Time at Evershine is NOT coming to Switch 2. They said they'll release it for Switch 2 IF the new Switch is announced. They never guaranteed it was coming. Their Kickstarter is also live, so sad you didn't mention that.

As a long time LotR fan, one thing and one thing alone made me stop cringing: Bywater. In the books, Bywater is indeed a Hobbit colony so their use of it in the game shows that *someone* in the team has definitely read the books and must love them because it's such a tiny detail that most people totally miss it. That told me that it might not be the egregious cash grab that it seems to be at first glance. Granted, it doesn't *guarantee* that it isn't an egregious and embarrassing cash grab but it's enough for me to keep an eye on it and possibly try the demo. Speaking of demos... like the Europa demo so looking forward to it.

It's the same game with some updates. It will have an endless mode, 3 difficulty modes (cozy, normal, capitalist), the ability to choose if you want to romance multiple love interests at the same time (so a polyamorous mode) and a new character (love interest). These changes will be made available for the steam game as a free update, except for the new love interest which on steam will be a paid dlc

I will be skipping the next "my time" game for several reasons. The first, because the game play is planned to merge into a typical JRPG, it will be nothing like its predecessors. I liked the previous games because they had a unique concept of running a workshop, which will be absent in the next title. Secondly, I disagree with the use of AI - based on the fact that it has no originality. I loved the previous titles artwork because they had their own unique style. Lastly, I disagree with a third use of Kickstarter - it's meant for companies to get their company off the ground, not repeatedly milk fans for money. They have their brand, at this point any new projects are just greed!
