Few people i know at work have the cupra ateca, the 1.5 version and they all seem to think they have a performance car because it says cupra lmao. Cupra should have stayed as a pure performance brand. Most people only buy a cupra these days because they look nice, they're clueless about what cupra actually is.

I got mine and love it, beware though that at least the 22 plate models have a common infotainment fault where it constantly resets itself. It is a maddening issue that Cupra haven't really been able to solve in my case yet.

I got 72 plate, I have disabled everything that connects car to the net/cupra servers, including WiFi, hot spot, and sign recognition, basically all functions that are not needed, and for 6 months no reboot! And it was very bad, sometimes every journey, multiple reboots Fingers crossed, it will stay that way!

@@zenonek79 I went through the financial ombudsman in the end and they had to give me almost all my money back and compensation at 8% interest 🤣🤣 I got the car for free if not made a small amount on it.

@@zenonek79 I gave up in the end and after my dealership started to just ignore the issue I went to the ombudsman and they had to give me the majority of my money back, take the car back and give me compensation paid at 8% interest haha. I essentially had the car free for a year, if not made a small profit.

Not sure if it was sorted or me turning off unneeded functions helped. If yiu have restarts let me jnow, ill try ti help what to disable. Dont have any reboots since.

Just so you know on the virtual cockpit it will say the gear you are in, if it's days D1 your in normal mode if it says S1 you are in sports mode and if it says M1 you are in manual

I have one of these in AUS and it's great, but I use the torque rather than the HP to get around. Cupra mode is brilliant but it would get me a seat on the naughty chair if I use it - that's the penalty for excessive speed! My only criticism is a dull choice of colours so I got white. Highly recommend this car, backed by VWA Group.

@@frogrides Standard VW running gear, serviced by VW, nice suspension set-up, slightly spartan inside but it has all the kit, steers like a VW, 7-12L/100 km, no complaints, entertainment system sorted under warranty, comfort mode adequate - Cupra mode if you dare! It does everything I could ever ask.

Love your content mate, but you crossed a line labelling this as possibly the ultimate 4×4 :-). Hook yourself up with a 4x4 club for a day out ( and make some off road content) then see if you still think this is even close ;-)
