I want Landry! I saw what the bench could offer. I like Parker Washington, we can move on from Tim Jones. Landry will be very productive

I want Landry too. Even if he's not taking a lot of snaps his knowledge would be an amazing asset to have to pass on to our young guys. He's not the biggest or fastest but hes always been productive and it's because of the mental aspect of his game. He knows how to find the open spots in coverages and he knows how to look back and roll with the QB if the play breaks down and get in position to catch a pass on broken plays. Even Brian Thomas is raw on some of the more intricate routes so between kirk and Landry i think these young guys including parker washington can learn the Technician side of being a WR. How to step up when thing's aren't going right and bail your guys out here and there. We needed that last year but like yall said Marvin Jones is retired so we didn't have it. I think Tim Jones is gonna stay because of his special teams skills. Especially being the format is changing you gotta keep your good special teams guys. Hes a great gunner.

Our wide receiver room is interesting. Kirk: Slot technician/ can play outside if needed. *Leader Davis: Deep threat. Touchdown machine. Disappears in some games. Landry: Slot technician. 99 awareness his whole career. clutch even if plays break down. Thomas: Deep threat from outside & Slot in college. Touchdown machine. Duvernay: Return specialist. Is surprisingly effective at WR in spots. Washington: Good hands & tough. We've got the guys here now to make this offense take off. The only thing i worry about is who's gonna be that Marvin Jones for us? He was Trevor's security blanket outside of Engram in a big way in '22. I have a feeling if he gets into playing shape quicky Landry could be that guy. Hes always found the holes in defenses and got open no matter whats going on. If he starts doing that for us watch out cause defenses will have no choice but to play honest especially with him, kirk, and engram on the field. That's gonna allow the two burners Gabe & Brian to get behind the defense more. It all depends on the O-Line though. If the interior 3 on that line don't play better now that we got Morse to replace Fortner it won't matter who our weapons are. Here's to hoping that Morse works well with Scherff and Cleveland and our injured guys come back ready to play well. Our season is gonna depend on the interior 3 of that line. It'll be nice for Trevor to have a pocket instead of the center getting pushed back into his lap constantly.
