How does 48forty identify the right custom pallet for a customer?
“ Well in order to feel around what the customers needs are, with some of these larger pallets is trying to determine What product are they putting on the pallet? How are they moving this pallet around? What type of truck is it gonna go on to deliver? What size trailer is going on length wise, is going on width wise, who all touches this pallet? so we can determine what size to make this pallet then we’re providing maybe they need an extra inch here or there so that they don’t get damaged they would get if it’s perfectly sized for the product . Maybe they need not just put it on the side because they’re having to handle this pallet multiple ways and move it in and out of trailers so it’s all about determining what exactly is going on the pallet. We’re adding our expertise to it from past experiences where we’ve seen people have product that became damaged from being moved around too much so we’re able to apply our expertise to that so then we can meet their needs specifically and then getting with them to see and make sure that we’re still meeting those needs as they’ve gotten those pallets in as they started loading their product on. that service is what we will give them”
How does 4840 ensure the custom pallet fits the customers need?
“We do make samples of these pallets we take them over and we want to see their product on these pallets so once we see the product on these pallets, we’re having multiple conversations with the’ through this process to determine. Is this exactly what you need. Is this what the users gonna expect when they get it? do they need a heat treated pallet?is dipped greenwood fine to send to him so we’re going through every angel trying to add in all the questions that they may not Know to ask their customers. we want to give them those questions so they can ask her customer so in the end in users getting exactly what they need. Our customers arent looking at us, wondering why we’re not providing the service that they initially wanted and we were able to get the service that maybe they didn’t want initially but they needed.
