GREAT VIDEO !!! ... I recall Daihatsu produced a small hatchback "The Charade" with a 3 cylinder diesel-turbo engine !!! ... The car would hit 100 mpg !!! ... I notice the timing chain is much thicker than in the Vauxhall Corsa !!!! ... I accept the technology is overwhelming for me as i cannot see a 1.0 litre car powering an SUV ???? ... However my neighbor has a Mercedes A200 AMG (7 speed auto) ...(1.4 litre) ....... The car is very good on fuel ...... while 0-60 mph ???...around 3 seconds !!!! ... Its the most advanced car in the world !!! ... Dacias need to take over !!!

I've had dreadful problems with mine. The main ones: 1. Power loss after idling for a few minutes in traffic. Turbo will not engage/spool up when pulling away. No warning lights, smoothly up through the revs, but no power at all. 2. All warning lights come on at once, power cuts, steering goes heavy and after a few seconds the car restarts. This happens whilst driving. Very scary. 3. Bad noise (like a bad bearing) when using AC that rises with the rpm, and continues after the rpm of the engine has dropped again (like when pulling up to a junction, slowing down) for a few seconds - like an overrun. Dacia replaced the AC compressor but still has not fixed. Getting worse and was not there from new.

@@matthiasv6608 At 3000 miles new fuel pressure sensor controller fitted. At 7500 miles flywheel failed and had to be replaced. Constant issues, error messages, power loss when hot weather. Carpet coming away from the floor.... Sold it at 9000 miles.

3 cylinder will create more friction therefore more wear & tear the add a turbo then your thrashing the hell out of a 3 cylinder engine It won't be a long life engine that's for sure 😊

Are TCE90, 110, 130, 150 etc. different engines or is it down to mapping/ turbo size etc? (Appreciate 130/ 150 are larger displacement)

So, the 1.0L engine has 90hp (manual transmision or with CVT) or 100hp (manual, petrol and LPG). This tce 110 is also an 1.0L engine. The last engine it's an 1.3L and has 130 or 150 (only on Duster). I hope that u'll understand what i wrote.

3 cylinder? Hahahaha... Direct gasoline injecton... huhhh.... What about the coking of the intake valves? Hm? Please, upgrade the 1.5 DCI! It is much better! 90 HP / 220 Nm or 115 HP /270 Nm. I'd like to feel the Diesel-Torque and to hear the sound of the Diesel Engine.

Forget about the Diesel engines, is about to be killed for personal cars. Buy NOW a car with Diesel, in the future there will be no Diesel anymore for personal cars.
