I think the main difference beetwen playing mascot and baseball zombie is that mascot is the one you play when you know your zombies will survive , when you know it will give you more long term whilst baseball is better if you aren't quite sure , as the buff is instant instead letting you play a few smaller minions One is a strong instant but not long term play Whilst the other is not instant but has way more potential if it survives Overall I feel like it will take at least a few more decks before we will like , "master" (not sure if that's the correct word) the baseball zombie, who knows maybe from this card a new sports sub - strat will appear that instead focuses on aggro with the instant buffs and strong minions rather than constant powerful tempo of normal sports Who knows if running 4 baseball and 4 mascots is the best combination for normal sports , only time will tell But I believe that baseball is very good and has a lotta potential , would love to see ye come back to sports after doing a few different decks in new dawn But TBH with how great the mod is I can say "I would like you to come back to this kind of deck" with so many decks , even with the small amount that has happened by now it's already great

Fry, you should run leap decks in New Dawn. The portal technician has been changed to leaper technician which leaps itself every turn and keeps its ability. Combine this with transformation station and you are able to double leap at the start of every turn.

Gosh, New Dawn is basically the balance changes we never got! Useless cards become useful, (almost) any synergy exists, and Nightcap and Rustbolt, and even some cards get new looks! Take notes, PopCap.

New Dawn is a bit of a mixed bag for me. While it’s nice to see what would have been for balance changes, some of it doesn’t feel in the spirit of PvZ. For example, some of the cards being tribe specific outside of the native classes like Cuckoo doing a bonus attack on pet evolution, basically forcing you to use boogaloo to get real effects from the card. The other issues are minor, like Giga Garg (Wannabe) having strikethrough instead of frenzy, which I hope can be fixed. The sacrifice effect also doesn’t sit well with me, especially since it comes off as a glorified evolution. The mod is still very nice, but I hope the issues can be resolved in the near-ish future.

To give attention to some of the points you made: 1. Cards like cuckoo are that way for now, I might move them latter to a different class The main reason they are that way is I made them unique and then didn't want for it to be a trickster, therefore it's not zombie evolution but a pet evolution 2.Giga garg and some other cards not adhering to the Vannila rules is kinda logical, since this is a mod, and giga garg might be getting reworked soon 3.Sacrifice is a mechanic, that is meant to be a better ersion of evolution, the difference is that it will be able to evolve off multiple plants/zombies in the future, unlike evolution which is restricted to one plant, and can be played dry without it's evo effect. If you don't like the mechanic don't use those cards, there is only 5-7 of them in the game rn

@@vulturesalesman it will be toned down later, The idea for brex buff mostly was to not make it garbage late game, since 3/3 is very bad by itself after turn 6, so it will be toned down significantly, but there will still be a buff

@@horrorInfinitum 1. If those cards get moved, that’s great, and would fix the restricted strategy problem. 2. If it’s logical for cards to not adhere to the class rules, then the concept of classes becomes redundant. My thought process is black and white so if rules are made, they should be followed. It’s also one thing to be a mod, but another thing to be a mod with its purpose to follow in the footsteps of the base game with balance changes, so your explanation just doesn’t work here. (And come on, giving Giga Garg frenzy was *right* there) 3. Maybe it’s the wording of the cards that I’m not a fan of, because PvZ is just a goofy game about plants and zombies, so the term ‘sacrifice’ sticks out here, and not really in a good way. Perhaps a fix could be (using Sweet Pea as an example): When played: You may destroy another pea. If you do, all zombies get -2 🟢 as long as this is in play. Still a very good mod, but if I want it to be the best it can be, I’m gonna have some criticism. Have a nice day :D

It wouldn’t be a bad idea (if the game somehow got revived) to add a feature to upgrade common cards, so they aren’t just these 1/1 no ability useless cards forever. Maybe by using sparks or a different currency, you can upgrade common 1/1 no ability cards to a stronger version with abilities, better stats, up the cost (or not), etc. Of course you wouldn’t be able to do it right off the bat, maybe after spending some time in the game ranking up, or maybe after completing a set of hero missions you could gain said ability to upgrade the cards.

cell phone zombie hasn't been changed yet, Three headed chomper on the other hand now works similarly to Sham rocket, as it requires a Zombie with 4 attack or more to be on the board, which it will kill when played. Bassicaly a shamrocket that spawns a 5/6

Challenge Idea (again): For a stream, play any deck, but after every match, you have to replace 8 cards with worse alternatives. For example, if you play telimps, you can replace 4 copies of Imposter and Neutron with 4 copies of Leprechaun and Mini-Ninja, since they fill the same role. I do this sometimes. Its a cool way to try out underutilized cards.

Challenge proposal, a deck using only smarty plants, not a single plant of any other class! All 40 cards in the deck has to belong to the smarty class! Any hero with access will be allowed! It may not a be deck that guarantees victory and can be easily answered or countered but winning with such a deck will without a doubt demonstrate your skill as an experienced player! Everyone likes to see a player winning and dominating with using only visibly underpowered classes!
