I'm a former full time Nanny for a military family for 3 years and kids were infant, toddler and school age when I started with them and yes so right they did expect me to maintain the house. Not just clean up after kid's.. I was essentially their cleaning lady, personal cook, caregiver, preschool teacher, laundry service everything! I loved their children like my own however it was a shock to work for smart, high ranking & weathy family who couldn't seem to keep up with their own home. Learned a valuable lesson that more home you have the more you have to clean. 💕😘 Enjoy watching your DIL!

I love your videos and get excited every time I see a new video posted! I totally agree that stay-at-home moms DO NOT get enough credit. On the nanny topic... I used to be a babysitter and struggled with the whole cleaning and watching the kids thing. I feel like parents would leave all the laundry and dishes for me and it felt like I was being used (not being paid extra for it was frustrating too). Cleaning up after the children’s mess is COMPLETELY part of the job (in my opinion). However, laundry and cleaning the house is a different thing. Unless I was just letting their children watch tv or play alone.. laundry couldn’t get done. The only time I feel comfortable doing laundry is after the kids are asleep (because I knew they weren’t getting into things or hurt). I just thought I’d share a nanny’s perspective on it! Thanks for understanding that, so many parents didn’t get it!

Amen sister! Stay at home moms are so busy! I will say, I’ve been trying to squeeze in a nap or a rest hour most days of the week-makes me feel SO much better! I do it when my 4 year old twins are taking their naps, and I make my oldest son have some iPad time. No shame. Lol! I homeschool them, plus have a full time at home job in education, and my husband is in the military so he works long weird shifts. The struggle is REAL! I need my naps. Hahaha!! 🙈🙈
