He definitely seems like a weak and mediocre killer right now, mainly due to the insanely long cooldowns he has while using his powers and how slow and clunky he is overall. All of his anti-loop powers are incredibly sub-par because of it. I do think he has potential, but they definitely need to tweak his abilities quite a bit before he even starts to resemble a strong killer.

Ya starting at like 6:56 the next minute basically invalidates his entire kit from being remotely useable, the only thing that works constantly is the orb which won't do fuck all in loops or chases, but in case not being able to counter his only consistent ability was too op for you cry babys you can pick up an item to see the slow ass orb and literally turn this killer into some mentally challenged wizard that can't cast spells that do anything. Hope this killer can be bought with shards because as is i cannot justify spending $5 minimum for something that barely can be considered a killer, and its a shame too because its such a cool concept but all i can think about is another knight or skull merchant situation. If he isn't reworked or buffed i definitely won't bother with him. It still shocks me that they don't have actual fog whisperers test this stuff for them before going public. You know the people that actually play the game and have good ideas for balancing? But wtf do i know right?

For the hand, I can see utility on it from possibly lifting safe pallets back up. Not sure how quickly the survivor can interact after it's been lifted to drop it down again but at that close of a range a quick attack should be able to get the hit.

It seems like he's been balanced around the idea that your addons MAKE your kit. Like, he has 4 abilities, but aside from maybe the detection orb, they're rather useless on their own. They become potentially worth a damn based on what addons you bring, and the ones you don't bring addons for are basically not even worth acknowledging are there. And the Mage hand kinda looks pointless period, which is a damn shame because its the most fund sounding one of the lot. It needs to be a punish for missed pallets or predrops. IE, if it picks up a pallet, it also holds the pallet down as if it had been used on a pallet that hadn't been dropped yet. The moment I saw that the pallets that got picked up could just immediately be dropped again, I said "okay, the fuck is the point, then?"

What i understood of him was almost the same as you explained. The addons count as the „skill points“ D&D uses to give you your limited access to certain variety of skills. You can give power to exactly 2 of those 4 powers. The other 2 without a power-up will most likely be for your own quality of life. Flying gives you the power to body block survivors from certain loops on windows like wraith. Before they get to the window loop, you can predict it and fly to their estimated loop spots. Dead zones will also be VERY dangerous with this killer since he’s able to catch up to you either way. The hand on pallets seems to be a mind-game ability to throw survivors off the loops. It gives additional mind-game potential and I’m sure you’d be able to catch survivors off guard. The ranged attack has lower hitbox with the IRI addon. Since survivors won’t be able to dodge it by crouching anymore they will be left off-guard to a safe injure/down. Without the addon it is still a powerful pressure ability, with enough practice on its aiming and range I’m sure it will be useful. This is basically a better version of Pyramid heads active ability which limits you on 1 hit and you loose more distance. He has a lot of potential but his delay is dangerous to balance. If BHVR lowers his delay too much, he will turn into the strongest killer overshadowing nurse by a mile.

He’s another placebo killer. His powers look “strong” but in reality are weak asf. He gains no ground on flying over pallets, flying through windows, and blocking pallets. Bhvr is known for doing this. They will give the killer powers that seem useful but in reality suck. They just need to tweak the numbers tbh. Look at Wesker, he pretty much does the same thing Fly does, and it can be effective. CAN be. Is it always? No. That's part of knowing how to Wesker though; knowing which pallets and vaults you can vault over and get a hit. It's not a "placebo" power, you just have to pick and choose your loops. I'm sure Vecna will be a similar place to Weskwr once the devs tweak him to a closer position on live release.

the ada seemed to have the boots that grants move speed when you use the hand, so shouldn't get the same amount of distance normally, I heard some used the hand to block the vault animation but don't know if it works well or not

I think Vecna's a really cool killer, but they should definitely tweak mage hand. Probably the skeletons a bit as well. The skeletons could do with faster speed or set-up time, and mage hand really needs either less slowdown or a longer duration. Right now without the trickster's glove add-on, mage hand is basically useless.

I usually use the hand to re-lift the pallet at point blank to secure a hit. There's no point in using it to hold the pallet. Also, there's an add-on that makes it so the skeletons are projected at a lower height so they can't be ducked.

I feel like his whole kit is interesting and has potential but it's just like what Tru3 said in the video, the delay to do things and the slowdown he has on everything is what's really keeping him back. Also, the fact you can duck the skeletons on top of the fact they're just kinda shotgunned...sometimes makes them feel completely pointless by everything I'm seeing? What's the point in using the hand or fly to counter loops when the amount of slowdown/delay you get means you'll just wind up in the same position again if you never used them at all? They're just time wasters. It sounds like it can be a lot of fun but definitely needs some time in the oven.

The strong aspect of his skill is the versatility, usually killers have one or two strenghts but suck in some other aspects, Clown is amazing in ending chases but has shit pressure, Nemesis is fairly decent but needs to time to reach tir 2 and 3. With Vecna if you put effort, you have a killer that has good mobility, information that can't be countered with perks, a ranged attack, and anti loop. If you master his skills you would be really strong.

They just need to bring in some of the streamers, and top tier players on both sides, and ask them what they think. One thing i think that would be amazing, is built in in game voice. Survivors are always running, that’s a constant. They never have to slow down to use any of their perks except the very niche ones. The killer gets slowed down to use their power and the power doesn’t last long enough to even be used effectively for a mind game at loops.

Against potatoes it will be S tier. They don't know how to do basic counter play. Against anyone up to and beyond the softcap, this is easily B tier at best. The Orb is way too slow. The vaulting / flying has a useless slowdown. Negates what catch up you could do. The Pallet holding is good in theory, more testing might be needed for that but so far seems to be the best one of the bunch. The skelly projectiles are ass. Make the gap in between each one smaller.

You have to use the dispel sphere to see what magic items they have. If they have the one that buffs mage hand and you don't dispel them before using it, they just get a giant haste buff while you slowed yourself.

The power is ok, the idea is interesting and well developed, but they have to play with the numbers. The cooldowns are too high, the hand is useless, the flight is only useful in map control and not in chase, the skeletons are too spaced out, so you have to go crazy to hit. true , his " vision bubble " thing , " silences " them , meaning their buffs that the boots and gauntlet give them , if you don't silence that , basically they can counter every move . The hand gives them 7% haste if you use hand , if you don't silence them first , there is nothing you can do . please read his ability carefully , because his " counter " comes from his own kit , not from the survivors themselves .

The devs don’t give survivors enough credit, the amount of stress survivors feel going against the average killer is NOT the same stress the killer feels. Let the killer be strong, give survivors a chance to learn (and fail if necessary), and adjust from there.

How much stress is staring at. A blank screen doing gen stressing one button while eating and just holding w and pressing one more button..... a reason why mist people play survivor. Alot easier. True talent when he plays survivor he'll show u how much easier it is. The killer used to be feared.

@@enriquesuarez9770 In defense of survivors, I understand that a lot of the experience is dependent on teammates. You can do everything right but a game will still end in failure because a teammate or two got caught early on and tunneled. That being said, the most toxic thing a killer can do is tunnel or slug, but even that is risky against the right survivors. The survivor though can teabag, flashback, flashlight, locker stun, decisive strike, infinite loop, adrenaline rush, adrenaline shot. And each survivor can do that. I’d argue that to get the same outcome (let’s say 3 gens done), the amount of effort and stress a killer puts in far exceeds that of a survivor.

A very very very dangerous killer for the balancing team in the future. I feel bad for them honestly. This killer has the potential to dominate over the current top killers with only minor buffs on his delay after his power was used. His pallet destruction feels slower than other killers. Like a slight 0.2-0.3 seconds slower. I haven’t noticed but if you can fly over dropped pallets he could be even more dangerous.

I'm so tired of these mediocre killers with bloated rehashed kits that have huge counterplay by the survivors for no reason when earlier killers are just good with no downsides. Also tired of mobility skills that have your killer comatose for a minute afterwards.

Firstly, it's his first impressions they could be completely wrong or painfully correct. It's kind of hard to fault someone either way. Secondly, do you know of a better way that he can consistently use his abilities/have a strategy (without add-ons) that makes him viable? If so, please share.

There's not really much new with this killer if you stop and think about it. Most of his stuff is borrowed from other killers in the roster but watered down heavily to make up for him having 4 abilities so it's kinda easy to gauge how good he actually is. I think he's probably top of B tier or so.
