Signing Mount shows he wanted to become high pressing, with a Rice type player behind two 8s So he wanted to play Bruno and Mount together and suddenly become a high pressing team But he implemented it so badly - he ended up with a massive gap in midfield, a low lying defense, lazy wingers, no coordinated pressing This is probably why Rashford is upset - cause he doesn't wanna be a pressing bunny like Gordon - he sees himself as a striker and knew he would score way less goals running around like a mad man on the wing And Amrabat, Casemiro and Mainoo can't play that Rice/Rodrigo role - so they got over run and looked like chumps Just terrible management, training and implementation Then when he saw it was failing abysmally and Mount got injured - he stuck with it anyway for 50 games until Wilcox told him to play more pragmatic, when they improved for the last 3 games of the season
