My brother has a Nurgle daemon prince (Nurgle specific model) and put tiny possessed wings on him, which I think is awesomely Nurgle. Massively huge daemon, grotesquely fat, body falling apart yet still operating; tiny tiny wings that shouldn't work at all, but he flys super fast!

The Dark Imperium box is a must-have for any good and loyal servant of the gods. Don't let the loyalist trash cans included discourage you, find a marine player and share the box. The models are freaking fantastic. I will be using the lord of contagion as Typhus cause imo, it's way cooler than the actual Typhus model. I'll just use greenstuff to sculpt the destroyer hive fissures. It's a really exciting time to be a child of Nurgle! Thanks for the video too, it's very helpful, you guys are awesome!!!!

2000 point list, feedback? 2 chaos lords (gives the plague marines re roll 1 to hit), plague surgeon (gives them re roll 1 for feel no pain) 6 units of 5 plague marines with 2 blight launchers and a plasma gun on the champion(deployed base to base in a block type of formation to get al the aura effects), 21 plague bearers(tough bubble wrap unit around my plague marines), 2 myphetic blight haulers(gives the plague marines cover for a 2+ save and a multi melta and missile launcher each) and a renegade knight with 2 Gatling guns (fire support) the army is deployed almost base to base to maximise auras and the plague beaters bubble wrap to prevent enemy charging. That's 30 plague marines with 6 plasma guns and 12 blight launchers, re rolling 1s to hit, 2+ save and re rolling 1s for feel no pain

Re: wings... it's very much like bikes for librarians etc in the space marine codex... you can still pay the costs in the index to get them, they just didn't include cause they likely don't have the models inherent to GW, like they don't have librarian's and apothecaries on bikes, so excluded those.

I cant wait for this release. The DG minis are hands-down the best minis that GW have produced, and the rules seem really fluffy and fun. My only issue is that I'm gonna need to write up a cheat-sheet to keep track of all the special rules and synergies.

Regarding the Tallyman, you have a 1/6 chance of rolling a 7 on two D6. There are six combinations out of a possible 36 that total 7, so 6/36 = 1/6. Not that unlikely.

Death guard seem pretty cool and a fun army to play but I feel to get the most out of it you kind of have to go full ham and get the new stuff. Like you can't just buy the dark imperium death guard set and throw some of your old chaos stuff in and call it a day. Like you need Mortarion, you need the crawly guy that gives you cover saves, you need a couple of the new tanks, you need the apothecary guy, you need the new terminators etc. etc.

If you're good at converting you can probably fit in a lot of stuff. Normal chaos termies can be converted to Deathshrouds and Blightlords, Vindicators can be turned into Plaguebust Crawlers and Forgefiends into Blighthaulers. Don't really have a good replacement for a Bloatdrone though, maybe a Heldrake (and a lot of creativity)?

The daemons do not have death guard keyword so they aren't there to be taken in the same detachment. You are supposed to summon them. So feel free to get a GUO.

Important to remember that the Daemons don't have the Death Guard keyword tho, VERY important. Also not everything has Death to the False Emperor (Poxwalkers for example), did that mistake in a game and really wish they did tho ;P

Dave zombies in this edition can become very fast. In 7nth your moved 6''' and that's it. Now you have 4''' move but... you can use Noxius blightbringer to make them advance fast !! I usually run Typhus, Noxius and Necrosius with zombies. An indestructible running horde that can swarm your opponent that simply doesnt die!! my next project is to use a chaos sorcerer with warp time to make them even faster!!

I am completely new to warhammer and currently do not have a codex, but, I am building a vanilla chaos army with Some units like plague marines, my question is, am I allowed to also run blightlord terminators or are they Deathguard only? Also, if I’m playing vanilla chaos and only have elite troops from death guard, I still don’t get any of the Nurgle bonuses right?

Basically, it comes down to what you are planning to do for your army. If you are using mark of nurgle on your terminators then you can use the nurgle models no worries at all. If you plan on doing other things then maybe getting the other terminators just so you can mix and match without having to justify it by actually representing it on the models. For example. If i wanted to use plague marines in my army, id hands down buy death guard units, if i wanted marines with mark of nurgle, probably still go death guard just paint / convert em a little. If i wanted a squad of marines that i can change between mark of nurgle and the other gods, id use standard chaos marines.

Spam High S, High AP long range weapons that deal more than 1 damage, lascannons are the cream of the crop, and by far the best way of clipping them, the idea is you want to hit at least Strength 9 or above, so you will wound on 3s vs the entire army (mostly). Smite spam's alright, but you're actually going to do less work than VS other factions because general FNP rolls make them especially good at combating these (statistically a bare bones plague marine squad will have about 6.65 wounds to chew through as opposed to 5 a MEQ squad normally had). Kiting them with things such bike units helps a lot, shoot then turbo boost away every time, I think tau can have a really good chance with all their battlesuits and mobile firing platforms, artillery's decent, but plagueburst crawlers are really competitive counters to this. The worst thing you can do is try to swarm them with low S mobs or small arms fire, they'll win the trade each time, not because they hit better or are stronger there, they just adore tarpits, and their vehicles has a nasty tendency of popping which will hurt melee oriented assault forces a lot. The ABSOLUTE thing you can NEVER, EVER do is start a mid-ranged firefight (6-12 inches) this is literally what the army is attempting to accomplish every game, and while many armies will like this, DG adore it, never forget that at 7 inches Plaguecasters become a serious threat. Now if your assault army has a crap-ton of heavy damage in melee you can suicide in and get a preferable trade.

Yeah they were so excited about CC weapon they didn't mention what heavy blight launcher does. My bet it's like what is storm bolter to bolters. Like assault 4... maybe assault 5 blight launcher. Which totally cool for me since blight launcher is super awesome weapon. Or maybe i;m wrong but then again who would name it like that if it wasn't similar. Of course i really hope heavy blight launcher doesn't make actually "Heavy" , since with BS4+ and this thing moving it would hit on 5+.

Actually I'm happy full terminator army that can even bounce of overheated plasma and lasguns (it wounds them on 3+ not on 2+). Cataphractii armor 4+ bounces even more plasma and DR EVEN MORE. Like thats really cool that Blightlords also got damn cataphractii, really . THAT IS TANKY. I was greatly disapointed that Pox and Plague Marines stay at 6 and 19 points. But screw them those terminators are my new troops

So I was watching again to check if I heard all correctly. Damn Deathshroud suck ... 75 points I would pay no problem if they had 3 wounds per model not 2. As it stands they are as durable as Blightlords , but have less weapon options. Honestly ... even CC built Blightlords may just be better investment since they can take GOD-tier weapons like flails of corruption with those they average of 4 attacks can go up to 6. Why not 3 wounds ? When those squishybags custodes can for less points ?

A unit of Plague Marines can take 3 plasma guns, and with the army's legion trait they can get two fast attack shots each within 18". Then put them near a demon prince so they can reroll 1s to hit so they can overcharge the plasma guns without much risk, and they become nasty mid-range damage dealers who are also pretty hard to kill.

Well that being said who will take plasma gun if you can get blight launcher for 1 point more. Answer ? Noone. Not saying plasma is bad, but inferior to blight launcher. And twice as inferior when you have arch-contaminator nearby. Problem I have with plague marines are : slow, expensive, even if I can take 3 special weapons still 2 borderline useless bolter guys that are still expensive. Although now with this Myphitic Hauler they seem to be actually getting better . Aka they can move not sit in cover and still get cover lol. 2+ terminator armor level armor against shooting ? Not bad at all. So maybe Plague Marines are not worthless, but still medicore. Can take them in friendly game i suppose. For well Blight Launcher Plague Marine I pay 33 points, same equipement for Blightlord is 53 points. But 2nd guy is many times more durable, got teleport strike and is decent in CC at same time - not only 2 attacks but can also take bubotic axe AND ranged weapon same time.

Well MWG I think when you have spoken about Demon Prince - you missed obvious reason why there is just single Prince and single cost. Because Nurgle do not have access to Demon Prince with Wings only to footslooging. Same with sorcerer and lord - no access to jumpack. We only get slow stuff :). but he got DR so still great.

This is a great video. I painted my Infinity Croc Man while listening to it. The reason GeeDubs took out Nurgle Bikers is they would be super fast and hard to kill. I think it would be abused to much. It does make sense that Nurgle would have lots of fast units. Tzeentch is Nurgle's opposite and he is the lllooonnnggggg, slow change. Nurgle is the fast change. I say write up your own biker units and play narrative games with them. Screw the stupid points system.

Since they come in a unit of 3 and the rule of thumb in 8th is that characters are their own separate units (some exceptions like Celestine and the Geminae Superior aside) there's a 99,9% chance that Deathshrouds aren't characters.

2D 7+ is 58%. So with that tally dude you are basically getting 60% more command points for 64 points. I would imagine if you are going to use him it's in a high CP army. I don't play TT so I have no idea about anything but the odds but I'd love to hear some thoughts if that dude is useful at all.

Yes he himself can fight a bit, though nothing special. But his buff to your poxwalkers/other cc units is great. rerolling all missed hit rolls. That alone is good enough. Since they already reroll wounds with plague weapons. Extra 1-2CP is very nice bonus for his actually low cost. I would say if you want to run heavy CC infantry army - he is actually very appealing choice .

Again I don't play TT so I'm not that familiar with this stuff. So poxwalkers/other units reroll missed hit rolls in his aura and then with plague weapons they reroll wounds. Does that mean first you roll to hit and then you roll to see which hits wound?

Well sorry if you don't know such basics I suggest reading core rules. No offence mate, but it's better check most basic rules. First you hit then you roll for wounds basically. You may/may not reroll your FAILED hit rolls/wound rolls IF you have such ability or unit and/or you are in range of such aura.
